Yes, agree.

If he gets 50 goal contributions I'll accept this absolutely shit level of performance.

I think that's unlikely though.

Tomas, he's not a pedigree centre forward. That isn't where he came from. Smith turned him into one and now he's looking more and more suitable to the role. He's not a natural goalscorer. However, he creates chances out of nothing. He's perfect to where we are and, if ever the day comes, when we get to the very top level, he will either be moved wide or play off a natural centre forward.

We're paying him like one.

He's a good player who can control the ball. So it's annoying when he fails to control it.

He's a good player who can head the ball. So it's annoying when he misses free headers.

I don't expect him to be brilliant every game. I do expect him to look like a footballer every game.

He was well off it today I thought but still got an assist and got himself into positions to win it at the end both with the decent pen shout and the header. I think as others have said you also have to give credit to the players he was up against and he is in decent company as Wolves also kept Haaland very quite last week.

No chance he'll be playing wide for us if we move on to another level. His dribbling is nowhere near good enough. He can carry it, but in 1-on-1 situations he has no inventiveness whatsoever. Quite often clumsily runs straight into the defender. He's also not sharp enough to spot and thread passes.

Yeah Ollie will never be a superstar or " elite ".

What he will be imo, is a player who offers you longevity, work rate and relative reliability, and will make an overall positive contribution to the club for many years.

Trying to think of an example of one of these but no one springs to mind straight away.

The type which will out survive many players and even attempted " replacements "  at a club.

If he's perfect for where we are, how do we get to where we want to be?

He has twenty-one goals and eight assists across thirty-eight games in all competitions since Emery was appointed, and his worth to the team is about so much more than his goals and assists. He's one of the very top strikers in the league, and if he wasn't playing for us would be playing for one of the top four regulars.

Great save from the Wolves keeper to stop  him scoring a beautiful little flick on the ball into the box, had a good game for us, assist was quality won the header and then crossed the return. Could have won it at the end but it wasnt to be, the post stepped in.

Yet, none of them have bid for him.

he was awful today.  wasteful, poor touch not, in the game.  shadow of his normal self.  May need a rest or just had one of those days.

New contract syndrome.

People really need to calm down. Wolves are a decent team but they are lacking a goal scorer. They'd be higher up the league with one. It's a good point away against a well organised team. Nobody played particularly badly today.

Don't agree in the slightest, how can you say this as fact?

Which top 4 regular CF would you take over him? I can only think of 1 out of the Top 6.

He isn't elite level, but he is the next step down from the likes of Kane & Haaland.

Yeah - the current criticism of him seems to be that he’s not World Class; which is fair, he isn’t.

And a world class striker would cost 100m and wouldn't want to join us... So he is the best we can attract at this moment in time. Seems pointless to criticise him on the basis he isn't as good as Messi.
