Davis inclusion makes sense as his hold up play is one of his main assets and will hopefully bring time and space for McGinn, Jack, El Ghazi  To exploit ...

Hope so, disappointed he’s in instead of Samatta or at least isn’t on the pitch also.  We have to keep goals out but we also need to score goals. 🙏

Quite surprised to see Reina on the bench. He caught Coronavirus fairly badly in March and recovery times are quite long in many cases.

Don't think it's anything to do with covid, awful error for first Leicester goal so just been dropped as I think he would've been for the Chelsea game.

Really not sure on the logic of going with the usual 4-3-3 against them, it hasn't exactly been a roaring success in the last two seasons v Sheffield.

Is it going to be like this:

                               Nyland

          Konsa           Mings         Hause

                                   Luiz

El Ghazi     Hourihane    McGinn   Targett

                  Grealish

                                      Davis

Just a hunch but Davies might enjoy playing in an empty stadium than Samatta

I think a few of our players migh, especially with the position we are in. Up til now we have been supportive but if we were not winning by 20mins then every misplaced pass, iff tackle etc would get an audible reaction. We are one of the worst sets of fans for that

Bet £10 that even with 5 subs Smith will wait until after 60 minutes to take action.

5 subs after 10 mins by Smith, completely throws Wilders tactics out the window....Villa win 5-0 😂

We need Konsa and Davis just to allow us defend set pieces, otherwise it’s just the two cbs and a bunch of ball watchers.

For all his faults Hause is o.k in the air, did well v Burnley when they were launching long ball after long ball and we'll face plenty of crosses tonight.

If I am being brutally honest minus Mings, Grealish and Super John that starting XI looks very championship. But Shef Utd team on paper doesn't look great but boy Wilder has done wonders.

Agreed, the defence definitely looks Championship standard. However, given our defence has been shocking all season maybe this is a great call by Smith. Only time will tell but if he gets it wrong then he'll get a lot of stick.
