Third best passing accuracy tonight and was dispossessed once.

BleedClaretAndBlue
He started brilliantly when he came in this season. Regressed at an alarming rate. Gives the ball away an awful lot and will be taken out the firing line for Drinkwater surely. Fix up Marvellous
Vive_La_Villa
He was awful on the ball today. Both him and Luiz were. But off it they were both brilliant. Positionally spot on and very disciplined throughout. Ideally though we only need one of them alongside someone who is more composed. Drinkwater perhaps. I can believe it because he only plays short passes but from watching the match so many of those passes put teammates under pressure.
VillaAlex
He started off so well for us, it's his first season in a league like this. He needs rotation and competition, and injuries haven't helped us. Hopefully Drinkwater will help out in that regard.

Yes they made good plays at times. Mentioning a good play doesn't suddenly mean they didn't make bad plays either. Or they didn't make more bad plays than good ones. A scapegoat implies that they are being unfairly blamed for something. But in the case of Luiz, he very clearly and directly cost us a goal. How is that scapegoating? We were playing one of the best teams in the league who are famous for their high pressing system. Of course it was going to be difficult. What standards do you have for players when we go away to a top 4 team?

BleedClaretAndBlue
We dont press in games. We must not bother in training, probably why he and Douglas are so lackadaisical and want a minute to control look up and get dispossessed

Johnnyp
Unless he has an absolute truckload of space to move into he's bang average. His feet are slow and physically he's kinda weak.

That he doesn't know what to do when he's pressed. Offers no real protection to the back four. Lay off the stats and use your own eyes, stats can make westwood look like iniesta.

He was given a suicidal pass from a free kick when it should have gone in to the channel for a fresh young lively youngster to chase and be a pest (Konsa) . Iheanacho outmuscled Hause and was too quick for Mings with the shot yet Luiz is the only being blamed. Yes he was partly at fault for not protecting the ball better initially but was everything that transpired after that his fault? Defensively our team played well ,only on occasion did the 3rd best team in England have clear chances. When they did our brilliant young keeper saved us whilst making it look easy. The players in bold were directly involved with the play that led to their goal meaning they could have had an impact in stopping their goal. You forgot Douglas Luiz’s tackles blocks and interceptions from the game.
