Thankfully they didn’t and he was happy to sign a new contract. After the way gerarrd treated him i dont blame him if he did

Popular Post Dodgyknees
My guess is that he applied for a job as Doug’s agent and got rejected. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-news-arsenal-26645875.amp Quote Dwight Yorke says he ‘doesn’t understand the hype’ surrounding Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz. The South American has been in sparkling form in recent weeks with Unai Emery labelling Luiz as “the best player” since his appointment back in November. Or he’s pissed off that his record has been broken. At least nobody will break his record for 56 jobs applied for and none won. 1

KentVillan
Still think this guy has a strong chance of captaining sides to Champions League and World Cup wins. Hopefully Villa in the first case. He’s just such a composed player, who looks better and better the more talent he has around him.
Popular Post avfc1982am
I wouldn't sell him for anything. Should along with one or two others be the highest earners in the squad and if we break the top 5. I'd rather us give any increase in wages to those that got us to where we are and DL falls into that category. We are a big club and it's time to start acting like one by holding onto our best players and Dougie is definitely one I'd do everything to hold on to. He's still got much more in the locker imo and I want to see that with him turning out for us in the CL in the next couple of years. By the end of this season everyone is going to be talking about how good he is outside of the club.... that lightbulb moment. We are really in a good place at the moment, the players are identifying with the fans, the fans love the players, everyone loves the manager. It's a family and that's what makes us really tick. I wouldn't let anything break that up.
Mantis
I wouldn't sell him for anything either. At the end of the day, no amount of money would be able to replace what he brings to the starting 11.
Dodgyknees
When Mings got injured, I worried we would lose his leadership. Konsa and Luiz have proved me wrong.

TheMelvillan
Bless that wee man. Footballers really are in a privileged position where they can bring so much joy to young fans just by meeting them and speaking to them. Any footballer who shirks this really are wasting a precious gift
