Villa charged by FA

I have seen a post by Villa Marv in the SHA reaction thread which says that Villa have been charged with failing to control their players (along with SHA ) following the game last Sunday - they are on about the incident after the tackle by their player on Jack early in the game.   This is incredible and surely can't be right.  This sort of thing happens all the time (VIlla Marv has posted a link - maybe someone could move it) ?

For a few players protesting around the referee? None of whom the ref even thought deserved a card?

No word on the scum's punishment for letting a fan on to attack our player. No word on their punishment for a member of their staff assaulting our player. But this is what they go for?

There's absolutely nothing there, it's the kind of thing that happens in every game. This is an absolute farce.

absolute shocking decision, maybe the players should have let the guy get a few free hits on Jack

As laughable as the Fit and Proper Persons test

That tackle is bad enough for a red. And possibly would have been, had it not been so early in the game.

**** them. Player just back from injury and he's gone in to maim him. Braver ref would have given him a red.

Sadly, Paul Mitchell isn't the first thick, scummy, inbred word removed to violently assault Jack while he's looking the other way. Happens every **** game.

Doubt the charge will have any major consequences though? Small fine? Will pay for a nice evening out for the FA boys.

Sha charged for Fan attack on Jack

Birmingham City have been charged by the Football Association with failing to control their spectators after a fan attacked Jack Grealish during the Second city derby against Aston Villa.

Supporter Paul Mitchell invaded the pitch in the 10th minute of Sunday's Championship fixture and struck the Villa captain from behind.

Mitchell was jailed for 14 weeks on Monday after admitting assault and encroachment on to the pitch.

Blues have until 22 March to respond.

Yeah it was what could be classed as “out of control” or “reckless”.

Sha have been charged for fan invasion now, not sure why the FA bought this charge as well?

If I was the FA I would be asking sha why their manager sent out their players to target & injure an opponent why their staff allowed an assault on the same player and why their staff also assaulted the same player.

An entire football club as an organization planning and committing violence on an opposing player surely is too much? Even for corrupt modern football surely that should be a red line?

The supporters are not much better. Look at the crowd applauding the tackle.
