Yes he has his limitations and how we want to play might stretch him to the limit of his ball playing ability, I will even confess to getting annoyed with him when he pops an aimless ball down the Chanel or looks a bit casual and hands momentum to the opposition but despite that he is still be a mile are best centre half (Carlos excluded because he haven’t seen any of him). He has been instrumental in taking us from mid table championship to mid table premier league in his time with us and he has been a colossus defensively more often not, clearly an excellent leader and a real role model and ambassador for our club. Overall regardless of football he seems to be one of life’s better people and we should celebrate that he doesn’t just phone it in, he wants to be here putting himself on the line for Villa. He has stated himself that he is finally learning what it takes to become an elite Centre Back. Really hope he plays today, but if he isn't 100 percent fit would rather protect him.
