Very attacking, but we’d be completely overrun in midfield playing that team mate. Grealish can’t be part of a two man midfield, unless we were playing five at the back and even then, I don’t think it would work.

If fit, i’d go with that team as well.  Think it’ll be tight, but also think we’ll manage a narrow win.   UTV

Is Chester still suspended?   One of the rags said he is and predicted a team that featured  Hutton at CB  and had Grealish and Adomah as wingers.  If he puts that team out the honeymoon will be over fast.

I think it was. I'll never forget that match, Villa 2 Swansea 0 in September 2012, because it was one of my worst costly blunder days. During the game I was busy having a big 'misunderstanding' with a dodgy taxi driver on the French Guyana/Suriname border. Not only did he not take me to the checkpoint where I needed to get my entry stamp in my passport, he proceeded to drive me to the middle of Suriname, about a hundred miles away from the border, while I was checking the BBC live text for the score. Doh! : (

I just HATE it when that happens

That’s the line up for me, although I’d take Elmo at RB and Hutton LB also.

A wonderfully inspired idea of playing the striker at the same time as the providers ?.

Heres a radical addition.......when that strikers had an hour or so, depending upon how he’s doing, he could be replaced by another striker !....because we’d have a fresh one on the bench !

Fresh start! It's these sorta games that really makes me wish I could get to just jump on a half hour train/bus or something and get to the ground.

To all going I hope it's electric and we get the performance and result!

In Smith we trust!! UTV

I thought he was back for it and read somewhere else he will be playing. Hope he is!!

Be very brave to start with Hogan tommorow...in time im sure hogan will get starts...but for me hes on the bench tommorow.

I posted this again in the Dean Smith thread but it's well worth a watch if you've not yet seen it...some good insights shared about Smith...

..he certainly highly valued Hogan but I agree, not sure he will start right away but I think he will definitely get some minutes today. I wonder too if Smith may look at using McGinn as more of a left wing back due to our lack of options down that side...perhaps how the likes of MIlner and Young have evolved a defensive side to their game too. Anyway, hopefully exciting times ahead..

Too early for Hogan to start imo, but may feature later. With Hogan fit, and under a manager that knows how to play to his strengths, it will be like having a new signing. I’m pretty sure we are going to see an improvement today, and I just hope we can get the points to back it up. Us fans have a huge part to play today. Cannot wait for this. UTV

Good side. I wonder if Smith will be tempted with Adomah though with his Championship pedigree? I think Bolasie and El Ghazi are better but Smith might prefer Adomah.

I would love to see Kodjia squeezed in too, but where and who do we leave out?

I was wondering about using adomah in this role.
