Add him to the list.

When it comes to strikers it has to be said Bruce has the Midas touch. In reverse, everyone he touches turns to poo.

Sure this is the man that had Darren Bent in his prime and sold him and got no replacement

Bordeaux have scored 7 goals in last 3 games. would have been better move for him

? 7 goals in 3 games without him, so more likely he’d have been sat on their bench then! No doubt there’s numerous factors to be considered on where a player would prefer playing, a few of which we might have little clue about, but they’re sure to include: living reasonably close to family and friends; being able to speak the local language; being close friends with one or more of the new work colleagues; hoping to have more game time in front of watching England selectors. Bordeaux don’t score so well after all.

It is another baffling thing to add to the list that under Bruce he has never gone and got  a big hairy ar**d targetman. If you are going to play direct football then at least get a striker to suit it- or instead spend millions on signing Hogan and loaning Abraham instead. Gestede was/is crap but at least you could lump  it up to him if that is your plan.

Have been pleasantly impressed with Abraham.

Has a bit of spark about him and the skill to go with it.

With him Kodjia, Grealish and any one of our wingers in the starting lineup we should be outscoring teams more often than not.

I thought he was decent last night, some of his build play surprised me. I thought he was just a goalscorer and had no more to his game than that but last night proved otherwise. With service, he will score goals at this level, I have no doubt about that. I think we have the players to get the best out of him going forwards.

We didn't start any wingers yesterday ?

He would learn a new style of play, new culture and would develop more as a player abroad than under Steve Bruce.

He also wouldn't have a neck strain from looking up for the ball every few minutes

Possibly. No point in guessing why, but the only person with the full facts and opinion that mattered was Abraham who decided the advantages of joining us exceeded any other offer he received. Perhaps he isn’t all that enamoured by Bordeaux’s style of play and local culture.

I also like that he is moaning on the pitch regarding service as too many of our players just get on with it

Yep, some are complaining about it but it's nice to have a player on the pitch with high standards and high expectations of his team mates. A big problem we have is a lack of desire and will to win, at least Abraham has it.

Where did you see these highlights?

The Aston Villa Youtube channel usually has them

Edit: Disallowed goal about 2 mins in.
