So far is say you're comments are still fair.  There is a bit more life in the world since its launch.   It just seems so buggy still.

Havent seen a single glitch in my playthrough so far.

As for the world, as I've mentioned before I think Night City is one of the best (and one of the most alive) sandboxes I've played in.

I've had a bunch of glitches.  I had Jackie stood up in the car next to me as we were driving around, I've seen AI drivers trying to do a 3 point turn in a wide open space like Austin Powers in a golf buggy, I've had NPC's start strobing so much that the screen became unbearable to look at (and then eventually crashed the game). Not just a single NPC, but most of them.  I thought the enemy teleporting around the screen might have been a skill for a specific enemy type rather than a glitch, but with this game who knows?  That's it for me so far and I found most of the glitches funny rather than annoying.  Nothing that has stopped me from coming back.

Well, I finally got this. More than half off but turns out it was for some sort of physical media, so weirdly enough I am waiting for its delivery later today.

I am looking forward to trying it out now that 1.6 is out. Only remains to be seen if my 1060 can handle it. I got myself a new 3060ti, but it unfortunately has to go back as it seems to be broken.

Might order another card if the game is any good.

Finally jumped back into this after giving up on it a month or so after it was released because of all the crashes it kept having. Decided to download the PS5 upgrade and start over again.

I'm loving it. Don't get me wrong, it's still not 100% fixed bug-wise, but the issues that I'm getting so far are mostly just minor visual glitches with some NPCs and terrain. Nothing game-breaking or anything that's ruining it for me. Night City is such a **** cool place to get lost in.

I had a brilliant time with it on ps5

I’m jealous, I traded it in after restarting it 3 times being desperate for it to click with me. Just couldn’t get into it at all.

I also don’t get the praise for Night City at all. It’s as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle. It feels like it’s going to break at any moment and is working overtime to keep up the charade that it’s functioning on a technical level. Very shiny but very shallow and one dimensional world.

Been playing a solid couple of weeks now, I've barely touched the main storyline and it's been terrific.  Had a mission earlier where I had to rescue someone from a fighting dojo; I snuck onto the roof to get line of sight of the main hall and starting cyberhacking goons.  Most were netrunners that tried to counterhack my location but I kept dropping them before they had time to pinpoint me, and after clearing everyone I could see, I hacked into the cameras, cycled through the network until I got eyes on the basement and hacked the remaining goons hiding down there.  Killed the camera network, jumped in through a skylight, robbed the entire place blind and strolled straight outta the front door with my target in tow.

I love this game.  I'm Johnny mother-flippin' Mnemonic up in this bitch.

Nothing particularly glitchy beyond a very rare rare visual hiccup or dead-body spawn into a wall.  I will say it felt very menu-divey at the absolute start, and the game perhaps doesn't do as much as it could initially do to hold your hand in that regard (first couple of hours I was referring back and forth to hints and tips webpages).  Minor details though, since it clicked I've been having an absolute blast and it's more than filing the Deus Ex-shaped hole in my biomechanical heart.

So, with a heavy caveat that my only experience of playing this game is the next-(well, current)-gen version so my view is skewed but not being there for the launch shenanigans and however long it took to reach a stable version; this might be one of my top 10 all-time games.  Just reached the point-of-no-return on my first playthrough, and if they can stick the landing then I will be a very happy camper.

The legendary Contagion quickhack + relevant Intelligence build going into the late stages of the game is absolutely hilarious.  Stealth?  Don't need it.  Fighting?  Don't need it.  One breach and you can watch an entire building-full of enemies topple like dominoes.

My one regret this playthrough is returning Skippy to his owner.

i did the quickhack build in my first play through, but tbh i got bored of it towards the end game.

My most recent build was a sandevistan camo katana/mantis blade/monowire thing, that can also get a bit samey, but walking in to somewhere with camo active (invisibility), slowing time and killing a whole room in slow motion, for time to return to normal, and all bodies drop to the floor at the same time is gold.

You gotta watch cyberpunk edgerunners if you havent already, its absolutely brilliant (its set in the exact same universe also - you will recognise a lot of the scenes/places)

I assume by "wrong" ending, that would involve going along with Arasaka?  Didn't do that; first ending I got I let Johnny take control for the climax, only for Rogue to die, Alt to **** things up and V left with the same ticking death clock regardless of what I had Johny do (I had him wander off into cyberspace); I thought I'd at least see out my remaining time with Judy, but she dumped me and left the city and I was given no option to go with her.  Big Cowboy Bebop vibes with that ending, what with the seemingly suicidal space-casino raid.  Anywho, I reloaded and went down a different route earlier (storming Arasaka with Panam and the Aldecaldos), and I guess it was a

little better (save for all the Aldecaldos that bit the farm along the way) but ultimately my choices still came down to either a) snuff it in 6 months or b) Johnny takes V's body over for good.  At least this time I got to ride off into the sunset with Judy (sure hope she doesn't find out I struck out twice with Panam beforehand 😬).  So with both endings it's either a downer or at best bittersweet; V seems screwed regardless and if siding with Arasaka is even worse than those options, then Jesus H. flippin' Christ...  eh, maybe I'm too much of a pollyanna.

I started with Edgerunners a few days ago, am only a couple episodes in but enjoying it so far.  Cool that they worked clips of the anime into the game itself.

Think when I do another run through I'll be going the full Sandevistan Samurai route. I do wish there was either a NG+ mode or no level cap though.

Bought it, installed it, not got round to playing it yet

Read up on builds beforehand, pick the one that you want and level accordingly; you can re-distribute perk points but attribute points are permanent, so if you sink some unnecessary levels in something, it can really ruin a build.  For my build I wound up with 6 Body, 15 Reflexes, 18 Technician, 14 Cool and 18 Intelligence.  The perks above levels 18 in both Tech and Intelligence aren't particularly worth the investment by the time you'd reach that level, if you wanted to go down that route.

Oh, and don't worry about how shite the car handling is at the start.

Nomad vehicles handle so much better than every other car.  As soon as you can buy it, the Javelina is a must.  Before that, I found the bikes the best way to get around.

ah so you did the reaper ending! :P

My favourite ending was the Panam ending, where you

Spoiler

go with Panam, but also Judy leaves Night City and seems happy.

Sandevistan build is good, go for the Fingers Sandevistan, by far the best one........(dont puch him...😁), and add 3 x time extenders to the upgrade slots, its madness.

Also, for katana build dont miss the Satori (easily missed early in the game), and the other sword on par with Satori is the Byakko due to its lunge attack, you get that through the missions for the Chinese shop owner woman.

Always nice to have the Mantis Blades also, for cool factor.....
