Pre match chit chat

It's going to be very difficult to get things going up front without a focus. We've got eight players in that eleven who would probably describe themselves as midfielders - ordinarily that would mean lots of possession as we probe and move Derby around looking for gaps and opportunities, however, we can't pass the ball.

It's madness or genius.

Or both.

Yes Jack in the team! Boo well, we've got no one to hold the ball up which would help Jacks game.

But, I like the team I think.

No doubt our approach to the game will be completely ill-fitting of the team.

--------------------------------Johnstone--------------------------------

Elmo------------Chester------------Jedinak-------------Taylor

---------------------------------Whelan----------------------------------

Snodgrass--Hourihane-Onomah--Grealish--Adomah

It'll certainly give Derby something to think about.

If Grealish is on the left and Adomah up front, it'll be interesting to see how we play - Adomah is no use to us with his back to goal, he's not going to hold the ball up which would mean that Hourihane and Onomah would have to drop very deep to join Whelan so that we can try to tempt Derby out and break on them.

Omg that teams embarassing not one recognised striker

This is going to be a horror show

Too be honest not many goals have come from our strikers this season anyway. There is nothing to suggest Adomah wont do a good job up top. In fact his goals and movement suggest the opposite.

But he's scored goals from out wide. What has that got to do with playing central? If there is nothing to suggest he won't do a good job there why has he never played there for us before?

What have we being saying all week?

Players out of positions yet again!

Leaves the strikers on the bench, players a midfielder in attack and a midfiekder also in defence.

F***ing hillarious!  :crylaugh:

I think it will just be the same as normal but with Albert up front.

He's in better form than Gabby and Hogan so why not?

Because he isn't a lone, central forward.

Hey, it might work a treat and full credit if it does but it seems a poor decision at this point..

Adomah plays well with the game in front of him - he's the antithesis of Davis who is brilliant with his back to goal - It's not necessarily that Adomah can't be a useful striker, but he'd be useful in a counter attacking team that can play through balls - we've not done much of that and we've looked more effective at the "bang it up to the big man and get support around him" than any kind of passing football. It's not just a question of Adomah up front, it's also a question of whether the team are capable of playing in a completely different way.
