Really hope UEFA goes to war against this biannual WC crap fest.

Refuse to release their players other than every 4 years. Pull their clubs from the FIFA club WC tournament and so on. Won't happen of course but Qatar pretty much owns UEFA and the Saudis pretty much own FIFA so might be a conflict of interests.

What will all this do to the domestic game, I'm pretty sure whatever happens it will only benefit the tip of the pyramid. Will citeh and co need bigger squads etc, will it end up with every top player and prospect being swallowed up by the scum12?

Surely further saturation of the game can only speed up the death of the lower leagues, or will better standards spread faster through the game and boost those that need help.
