Ukraine striking a Russian airbase again, 310miles from Ukraine.

Quote

A Ukrainian drone attack on an airbase for bombers in southern Russia has left three people dead, Moscow says.

Air defences shot down the drone near the Engels base but falling debris fatally wounded three technical staff, the defence ministry said.

Earlier this month Russia accused Ukraine of a similar attack on the airfield, home to bombers that have carried out missile attacks on Ukraine.

The base lies about 500km (310 miles) north-east of Ukraine's border.

The Ukrainian military has not officially commented on the attacks but BBC Russia Editor Steve Rosenberg says the latest incident will come as an embarrassment to Russian authorities.

Turns out Russia are hitting the city of Maryinka with Thermite (chemical weapons?).

The UK has been using Thermite munitions since WW2.  Most incendiary bombs included a Thermite component. The RAF dropped a mixture of small bombs and incendiary bombs.  The small bombs blew off roof tiles and the incendiary bombs landed in loft spaces.  Thousands of small fires overwhelmed fire fighters.

Another, "how dare you bomb our airfields, we were just fueling our bombers, ready to bomb all those orphanages, it's an utter disgrace".

Russia will probably launch a wave of missile attacks on the utilities again, in retaliation for the disgraceful behave of the Ukrainians who only have themselves to blame.

Russia’s wealthy lawmaker and critic of Putin's Ukraine war found dead in India - World News (wionews.com)

One of Russia’s wealthy lawmakers and a fervent critic of President Vladimir Putin, Pavel Antov, was founded dead after mysteriously falling from a hotel in India’s eastern Odisha state.

The multi-millionaire was on holiday in Rayagada region where he was celebrating his upcoming 66th birthday.

Though local media reports claimed that he jumped from the roof, Russia’s consul general Alexei Idamkin told TASS news agency that he “fell” from a window.

“We are closely following the investigation and receiving all the information from the Odisha police,” the envoy was quoted as saying.

It comes two days after the mysterious death of his party colleague, Vladimir Budanov, 61, who is said to have died from a heart attack on Thursday.

Antov was one of the staunch opponents of Putin’s war on Ukraine. In June, in a blog post, he criticised the war and air strikes on Kyiv as Russian “terror”.

Eventually, he had to retract his statement after coming under immense pressure. Western media reported that he issued a “grovelling apology”.

I'm starting to wonder if this is now becoming a running joke in the Kremlin or if they are just running a book.

Putin wants people to know the government are behind all these killings. It's a warning. You're rich because we let you become rich so tow the party line or die.

It’s worked ok for him so far. No sign of a coup yet.

I’m in Uzbekistan at present .. just been watching the news about how some heroic Russians defended a nuclear power plant that Ukraine  attacked  with drone and missiles and how dangerous it was for the rest of the world that Ukraine launched  such an attack and lucky  Russia was there to save the world
