astonaidan
G.S showing why he shouldnt be given the reigns full time. Such a boring selection. Thats the thing with England, form never matters. Sturridge and the likes will always get picked

kurtsimonw
Beat Scotland, in a game that matters "so we should". Lose to Spain, in a game that doesn't "This is why we'll never win anything".

There are some behavioural or cultural issues stopping us perform in tournaments but that's another issue.
One For The Road
Going to both, as well as England v South Africa in between for my first egg chasing match at Twickenham. Couldn't care less about the result v Spain but we do need to beat the Scots at home. Slightly worried we could win both and end up giving Southgate the job full time. PaulC
Lallana has to be the first name on the team sheet. He has been brilliant for Liverpool this season.

He was great for England too in the last round of games (apart from his shooting which was terrible).

Demitri_C
I hope we humiliate the Scots, most irritating nation. Hearing Sturgeon and Salmon every day makes me dislike them greatly Oh this is football Edited November 7, 2016 by Demitri_C
VillaChris
One thing's for sure...the actual quality of the game will be awful. Spain B will pass and move far better.

Grasshopper
SkySports bigging up the importance and difficulty of the "Spoilt-F*****rs United v Scotland" WTF? Scotland are shite and have Strachan as Manager & McGlee as Assistant. Sunderland could beat them and they are shit-er than we were last season. We big up the Birmingham derby even when they're shit. Don't see the problem. It's still important.
BOF Posted November 9, 2016 Moderator Share Posted November 9, 2016 I think it's perfectly reasonable to big up a game against the old enemy. That rivalry is what football is all about. The relative strengths of the teams is irrelevent. It's not even a friendly. There are actual vital points on the line.
sheepyvillian
Best football England ever played was under Hoddle ,we actually out passed the likes of France and Italy and began to look like a team who could compete . On reflection ,maybe the FA were a tad impulsive in there decision to sack him . Yes ,I know he upset an awful lot of decent people with all that karma nonsense ,but that's exactly what it was ,nonsense ,and that is exactly what the England team have been ,ever since Hoddle's departure .
