I simply disagree.....There is more to a football team than a midfield.

In relation to midfield we have taken 1 step forward and the rest of the team 2 steps back.

If the manager is holding us back.....I feel confident the owners will deal with it.

We are presently wallowing in unforced errors in every game.....no team can afford that......and furthermore when we are not making one, we look like we are ready to, randomly.

It seems in the main Terry and Johnstones composure, missing, has left us shaky and unsure.

We weren’t shaky or unsure in my view.

And Ipswich were never on the ropes, they fought very well.

Id agree there is a weakness in personnel- primarily at Centre Back.

I also remain to be convinced by Axel, though he was ok.

But the rest of our players are good enough. It’s largely the same group that narrowly missed out last season - I don’t understand this suggestion that the players are not good enough.

I saw no lack of effort or commitment, or lack of engaging in the physical aspect of the game.

I saw a player SO out of it, in Albert, that it was like 10 men.

And I saw us adopt a safety first approach, needlessly in my view- and certainly for too long.

Finally I saw players fail to keep a cool head in decent positions .. it happens, it was below par, but the players responsible are all decent players.

When we FINALLY decided to try to use our midfield we looked much better.

I didn't watch the game as I was caught up in f****** train delays and cancellations, sending me from the south coast to Bristol and... well, all over the place just to get to Exeter!!!

So, I mainly read comments in the match thread. Today didn't sound good. I'm so frustrated.

Yeah, they are statements that make me cringe quite frankly.

However, the 2 years is right.....but in that time it has been stop start due to various problems, injuries to key players and the near collapse of the football club, not to mention the club was a pure ship wreck.

Look ....I am with you this football cannot go unabated infiniti....I may vary my opinion of the source of the fault, but the low grade offerings, I am with you all.

You think its Bruce, in terms of the coaching.....I think we have too many players not good enough, that is causing play to break down.

I think one of us is right.

I don't see the present owners procrastinating for too long, because you are right, its gone on for too long.

TRO, Bruce doesn't do the coaching, does he? But, wasn't it him that brought those coaches in? I'm pretty sure they are his choices.

Regarding players not being good enough mate; aren't most of them Bruce's players? Keepers, Axel, Elmo, Jedinak, Thor, Hourihane, McGinn, Adomah, are his signings, right? That goes without other players left out that he's signed.

The main fact that people are making is that we seem to be continuing with the same performances and mistakes that cost us last season. That is worrying, especially when we've played so-called easier opponents in this league. Right now, performing the way we are, I wouldn't fancy us to beat the likes of Leeds, Forest, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough. We will be found wanting if we play like we are against a bigger and better side.

I can understand why people want change. I know it seems a bit fickle given we've had our best start to a season for 56 years but, it's not like we've won 5 or 6 and played decent sides. It's three wins against bang average teams and we've struggled to boot. People want to see that lessons have been learnt and that we've improved from last season but there are no signs of that.

I'm not saying he should stay or go -im sitting on the fence right now. It's one of those awkward situations where both sides of the argument are justified but, it is difficult to defend Bruce when the coaches are his, most of the players are his, he makes the same mistakes and nothing seems to have improved in terms of performance.

It's the same old same old, Dick.

I honestly think he is on borrowed time, walking the plank whatever.

We need fresh change to take us forwards.

can-you-say-strong-and-stable-leadership

He’s the footballing equivalent of May, was appointed originally because there was no one else and 3 years in we still don’t have a structure or any kind of plan. His rhetoric about stability is the same to.

3 years in and still no cohesive structure or style of  play, it’s scandalous.

You can point to the win percentage all you like in this league we should be smashing 100 points, absolutely criminal underachieving from the promotion specialist.

So fed up now, when will we get a managerial appointment right?

To be fair, we could be beating Real Madrid 8-0 in the Champions League final and the match thread would still be full of miserable sods :D

I think we only have to wait until Weds to see how far we are away from being a good team. I really am worried about the Brentford game.

This.

Look how f***ing far we have fallen. We are shitting ourselves about playing BRENTFORD. BRENTFORD.

And we are probably right to be doing so.

And yet apart from the keeper we're stronger in probably every position.

We're a team that is lesser than the sum of its parts.

I agree, I think we have a very good team, more than enough for top 3 and certainly in with a chance of top 2. I think we hace three of the best attacking players in the league, as well as the best defender and the best goal scoring midfielder, amongst others.

This.

Which is why it's so damn frustrating. We could be so much better than this.

Jedinak and Adomah signed under RDM. Bruce have signed the others you named, plus Lansbury, Bree, Hogan and Taylor. Thats one first team player, McGinn.  4 transfer windows, and thats all. Don't let this man spend more of our money.
