Steve Bruce

After the Burton defeat - “Judge us after 12 or 15 games and that’s the most important part.”

We’re coming up to the earlier suggested deadline that Bruce himself put forward.

But he’ll no doubt still bleat on about patience and not having enough time.

Out of his league. He is more suited to the small heaths and Hulls of the football world.

He may be able to steady a ship in choppy waters but has no idea how to navigate the thing there after.

He should have been replaced at the end of his first season.

John Terry mate

I think he would struggle to be interested out of Loyalty to SB...but hey ho.

but I am warming to an inexperienced manager who has charisma and has not developed bad habits. someone who football looks up to.

We have tried the experienced route and it doesn't seem to work......give someone their wings....they have to learn somewhere and when experienced guys seem to make mistakes by the bucket load, what have we got to lose?

JT or TH.....may not be as far fetched as we think

It's so frustrating that it's so blatantly obvious things with Bruce are just not working and will not work now. Every day that goes by with Bruce still employed is a day that our board are wasting.

There's absolutely no way Bruce is turning this around now. For whatever reason football just doesn't seem to work that way.

Couldn't agree more mate.

Football is a different game these days with pampered players earning fortunes.

What we lack more than anything is application. Gerrard and Lampard are showing that their reputation as players is helping enormously, these kids want to play for them.

I agree. I don’t give a shit about experience. I want someone with charisma and the balls not to be overwhelmed by the job, someone who recognises we shouldn’t fear anyone in this league, someone who has an idea about how he wants to attack teams and demands the respect needed to get that message across. If that someone has never managed a day in his life, I don’t care.

Not sure how he managed to get £3million a year. I just had a look at active prem manager wages and we are overpaying him by a f*ckload.

It is the Villa way.

Serious question. Why would you prefer JT as manager?

Well DaveAV1- Firstly I have always liked John. But yes Although Bruce is struggling to pull wins out at the moment, Steve actually has made villa a place where there was a good vibe, players were trying there hardest again, trying to better themselves all while heart was showing more regular again, morale was boosted under Steve and still is to a certain extent. Steve saying in the papers that we are once again a team that is tough to beat, in a way that can be agreed on, but it seems it's also a bit of a contradiction considering we can't beat teams.

All Steve is really missing is a winning formula, he is struggling to find that and this is where John Terry I think comes in. I think John would and could keep alot of the good if not all of what Steve bought to villa and adapt and evolve on what Steve was trying to do, I think in terms of most players john has always had an insight to the game that other players take longer to see, not to mention the respect john brings as well as young players do well around him.

John Terry's time at Villa changed alot of our players for the better, he came in and instantly looked like he had been commanding us for a decade, players took to him instantaneously and took what advice he had for them and used it, terry is certainly a positive that does bring the goods to a team.

I think if Bruce goes, that it maybe in our best interest to try Terry as manager, I not only think he could handle it, but feel because of his time with us, it wouldn't take him all that long to settle in because of how our players. I also think that our players workrates would go up but that's just me.

It all remains to be seen who will be appointed the position and whether they can get the job done. there is still room in the league at the moment and whoever comes in still has time to bring the game and take our team which has a highly skilled set of players, up a bunch of notches.

I am curious also as to what type of football John Terry would install, curious more than any other new manager I guess.

Mainly because Terry or Henry would be new to managing, experimentation would be opened again where as we can see with experience that experimentation is all but lost because they are set in there ways, We most likely need a manager with little to no experience at all to get this rite.

Very happy where I am, thanks. Wouldn’t want the collective wrath of VT ruining my delusions of grandeur ;)

We are a nice bunch really......All you have to do is get the ball in the net more than the other team.

simples.

you'll be alright.

We're tip toeing around this broken man who wrongly believes that he's doing much better than we give him credit for. He's deluded, and totally out of his depth.

Steve Bruce is floundering from one match to another without a clue how to put things right, and we have to stand back and watch the efforts of this drowning man to somehow stay afloat.

Our owners need to step in and end this now.
