TRO
Worked hard, but not one of his better days Mixed feelings on him....but one of our better players in general. would like to see a bit more aggression in one on ones.

dont_do_it_doug.
That disallowed goal, ugh. I need to watch it again, but surely one of the worst piece's of decision making seen on a football pitch this weekend. Everything he touched today turned to shit. rodders0223
Could be so much more, I hope he is willing to learn. Still plays off instinct and only thinks for himself.

In fairness having seen it again on TV, it wouldn't have gone in. Defender was right next to Kodija and would have cleared

Even if he had shielded it over the line it's interfering with play. Shame, maybe the clearance would have been a corner or fallen to another player but who wouldn't smack it in the net if it's fallen straight to your feet net gaping? It's not even about whether the ball would have ended up in the net or not, it's about the complete lack of awareness shown by Kodjia in that situation. He did it all game, head in the clouds. Guest av1
I'll never understand professional players being caught offside quite so often. Once or twice you can maybe understand, but it seems a real issue for Kodjia. It was the same with Benteke aswell, £60m has changed hands for a bloke that doesn't know the offside rule. Its staggering when you think about it.
sne
Still holding a slight hope he won't be called up for the AFCON. Ivory coast have a wast number of strikers to choose from. Fingers crossed.

Still he only has a total of 6 caps for them, all in the last year and he scores 3 in those games so he's probably in.

Guest av1
No suprise really. Birmingham Mail Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia has been named in Ivory Coast's provisional squad 24-man squad for the African Cup of Nations. Kodjia was always expected to be called up having become his nation's first choice striker during the course of the last year.
vreitti
This could actually turn out to be a blessing in disguise for us. That is, if we somehow manage to develop a more coherent team in his absence. I'm thinking McCormack especially could benefit greatly from having a partner that's more a team player. Of course if said partner is Gabby, it won't make a difference.

vreitti
That is also what I'd go with. Sadly I don't think Bruce will see it that way. I'm guessing he'll still want to have one 'big man' up front. Probably something along the lines of this: --------------- Gestede --------------- Grealish -- McCormack -- Adomah Which would leave us with shit in the middle of the park.
