Transfer Speculation January 2016

Dwight Gayle for 8 million or so would seem like a snip and would think that he would be happy enough to stay next year if we were to go down.

Edwin Gyasi of Roda could also be worth a look with adama being out for a while, Still young at 24 and likes to run at people although his end product is sometimes a little wayward. He's basically a less stocky traore

Would hardly call it a snip.

Though would take him in a heartbeat

The Lamime Sane link.

Not sure how reliable this Site is.

Aston Villa are in advanced negotiations for the loan of Lamine Sané

According to our colleagues at foot 365  Premier League strugglers Aston Villa are in advanced talks with Bordeaux and Lamine Sané over the possible loan of the player until the end of the season.

Sané, who has an offer on the table from Besiktas, was left out of Bordeaux’s victory in the Coupe de la Ligue Quarter Final last night due to being in advanced talks with multiple clubs.

Get French football news has contacted sources close to the player and is waiting for confirmation surrounding a possible Aston Villa move for Sané.

Our understanding is that any loan deal for the player would include a possible buy clause should Aston Villa avoid relegation to the Premier League.

And Garde is hoping Sane will not be the only player to cross the Channel this January, with unsettled Lyon striker Claudio Beauvue and Montpellier defender Daniel Congre also in talks with the club.

Not sure how reliable, but the Express are reporting that we're actually speaking to two more on top of Sane.  Seems Remi may not want Richards back in at CB when fit.

Well Besiktas are top of the Turkish league and 11 points clear of third place so it looks like he would get CL football at Besiktas, they have a good team so I think it's likely he would go there as they can probably pay him more too

More unproven players?  Not so sure about this has worked so well thus far?!

Doubt we can attract "PL proven players" atm.

Fwiw the one's we already have at the club have been the one's letting us down the most this season. Guzan, Lescott, Richards, Hutton, Richardson, Sinclair...

While the "unproven one's Amavi, Ayew... have impressed

Players with prem /championship experience?

We're not really in the best of positions to be signing those I don't think.

As the bottom of the article about Sane said, which I agree with, we'll likely be getting loan deals for players from the continent with buy clauses inserted IF we stay up.

Amavi, Ayew and Veretout were unproven and they are our best players.

Benteke was unproven.

Richardson was proven.

Amavi been injured so we cant comment on him. Its taken veretout half the seaaon ti finally look good.only ayew has delivered for me. I think im entitled to be sceptical with the success of our summer activity!

At some point for a player to be proven they must have been unproven. Clubs like us take the risk on the unproven players whilst usually the big spenders let us do that and then pay double for them.

Its a very delicate eco-system this Sky Premier League.

You are, in general.

But the players proven in the PL/Championship have been worse than the unproven ones.

Give me an Ayew or an Amavi over a Gestede or a Lescott any day (granted he was decent last night)
