Fab
We're doing quite well going forward, good to watch. Defending, on the other hand, has been atrocious. Lescott and Richardson just aren't good enough.
JoeParker91
Bar our usual ridiculous mistakes, we have played pretty well that first half, looking far more positive. It proves that we do process some good players, which makes it even more frustrating that Sherwood has neglected to play them this season. Gil and Grealish should play together every week, if they can do it against Chelsea away they can do it against anyone. Still think we have a goal in us but unfortunately, probably a few costly mistakes too.

tomh621
How are people blaming Lescott for the goal ? yes the control was bad, but even if he controlled it, it would have ended badly. AWFUL pass and awful decision from Guzan Because it was a diabolical touch. If he had any sort of technique he could have controlled it and quickly passed it back to Guzan, who could have cleared it properly. Shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. Clearly wasnt ready. Seems Chelsea's only real threat to us is relying on our mistakes. Im noticing Guzan's mistakes a lot more and I think I may have just joined the "we need a new keeper" bandwagon. Zatman
Ramires should be off and that would be his 3rd red card vs us. He must hate our club
VillanousOne
we have played well, Gil is being closed down by four players when he's on the ball but he and Grealish are still getting at them so is Ayew.
markavfc40
We've been very good and deserved to go in level at worst. Shot ourselves in the foot though. There are plenty of positives to take from that half though and if we come out with the same approach in the second half we can get something out of this. I was looking for a response from the players and a more positive attitude from the manager and so far we have seen both. Dr_Pangloss
Westwood has been appalling, needs to come off at half time, would also consider bringing Amavi on.
tarjei
Encouraging signs, except for a few horrible mistakes. This is the way we should've have been playing since day one. Good mix of direct play and short passing. Good intensity pressing and a couple of players looking like they might make something happen. Lovely watching when Gil and Grealish link up. They are one a different level.
AshVilla
We keep putting ourselves under pressure by making these stupid backward passes Instead of playing the ball forward or wide Westwood decided to play the ball back to Guzan from Chelsea's half FFS
lexicon
I agree that he shouldn't have been in that position but as an experienced CB, he should have dealt with it.

It was at shin height!Giving it to Lescott in that position is **** madness regardless. The guy has lead feet. Even if he had somehow controlled that suicide ball Willian was on to him.Utterly hopeless from Guzan there. I hope this is his last game for a very long time.
KSV
you cant make this shit up. Every player taking turns to do something horrendous to cost us points.Guzan your a muppet. We need a new goal keeper. Never seen a goal keeper cost us so many goals with awful kicking.Lescott has been poor too. Bad positioning to receive passes.. half asleep and poor touch.Westwood been rubbish.Gil been poor too.. a few nice touches when he was further forward but hes not a central midfielder. Get him in the front three.Positives. Gana. Richards. Grealish....... thats about it.If we are lucky enough to see Baba in the second half we need to bring on Traore and stick him out there to take him on. Opportunity is there. a m ole
Always happens when we go a goal down to these teams, the referees just stop giving the little fouls, ignore blatant yellow card offences and it all starts to add up turning the mole hill into a mountain. dAVe80
So frustrating. Even though we looked the better team, it was still totally obvious Chelsea would score. I seriously question their metal strength.

ismail-villa
Team of losers. Sherwood is a **** moron for playing Lescott the sack of shit. Guzan is awful, shame our back up keeper is Mark **** Bunn. Pathetic Who would he play at CB? Clark and Okore aren't fit and Crespo is still new. Djemba_Villan
Decent half, little to moan about. Hoping we sneak an equaliser late on. It would give a hell of a lot of confidence against Swansea.Jesus christ Guzan!
