When Sunak was in town here the local news inevitably did a vox pop. They did it in Barry Dock, the backdrop was a row of shuttered ex shops. The demographic of this constituency is a poor rock solid Labour town, and a very wealthy tory countryside. For the vox pop, they found 2 labour, 2 tory. I just can’t imagine how long they had to wander around that area to find 2 tories. I do agree re vox pops generally but that one is going to find Tory voters in the most Tory seat in the country. I disagreed with it, but I could at least see the rationalisation for a Tory vote in 2019, but now? There's just no reason to keep voting for them at this point. It's one of the reasons he's gone now because choosing the candidates in constituencies that hadn't currently chosen now falls to CCO and not the constituencies, who given the time would push even more throbby candidates on the party.
