I suspect he didn't think it necessary to spell out "a mistake to your advantage".  Sloppy on his part.

Well the bus analogy there probably needs a little work.

It’s not Corbyn’s family on the bus, he’s happily watching from the viewing platform.

The passengers on the bus are the UK population. Corbyn’s plan seems to be to wait until the bus has hit the rocks at the bottom of the ravine before pushing the body of the driver aside and taking the wheel.

Understandably a lot of the passengers would like him to attempt to take the wheel and steer the thing away from the cliff prior to the edge.

Optics. Apparently people hate the idea of having the same thing repeated, but stick "people's" in front of it to make them feel like they have agency and apparently it's a great idea.

It's the sort of bollocks that the leave campaign used to con people. "Take back control", "our money, our borders, our laws" etc.

Depressing that that's the way the world is. But apparently it is.

Cheers, I thought it might be along those lines.  People voting is what got us into this mess in the first place, I'd be a bit worried about doing it all over again unless there is a huge lead for remain in the polls.

There is, Polls are currently running at about 56-58% Remain. Not only that but if no-one changed their mind since the last election then the UK will be a Remain country just on demographics alone by mid to late January based on the older population dying out and the younger end of the voting age reaching 18. This demographic alone changes at a rate of approximately 1350 people to remain per day. As the younger element reach voting age the polls show they are 85% in favour of remain whereas at the other dying end of the scale its the reverse, essentially Leavers are dying and remainers are reaching voting age.

Then you add to that the people that previously abstained that now claim they will vote in a second referendum, these too also favour remain according to the polls.

Polls also suggest that 6% of remainers have changed their mind and are now leave, however, 12% of leavers are now remain, so that in itself gives a 6% swing to remain on top of the demographic changes.

Essentially the country is already in favour of remaining and that grows by the day, every day by the time March 2019 comes about it's not inconceivable that over 60% of the country will be against leaving the EU.

They're just words removed to be honest, a group of **** utter morons, full of economic illiterates and the lunatic fringe of the left who want to cry about microaggressions and cultural appropriation over real issues. They simply are 'undetectable' at this stage, every bit as bad, if not worse, than the Tories.

Labour conference, what a freak show, utterly incoherent message, speakers contradicting each other, a party of clowns.

They've been doing it all week, Jezza's Rottie from Nursery Rhyme Farm even managed to contradict himself in the space of a few hours at the weekend

Keir Starmer going off script to rapturous applause but a stony-faced Diane Abbott and Barry the Gardener was amusing. The Unite tit trying to walk back Starmer to boos was just as amusing.

For all this "if the members vote for it" bullshit, they clearly don't want to listen to the members

Wouldn't trust them with a bargepole

It's like this - they oppose the Deal Theresa May is going to do, and they oppose a No Deal Brexit, so they want to hold a referendum allowing people to choose between the May Deal and No deal - two things they oppose. The one thing the Party almost all want - no Brexit - they don't want to put on the referendum. Oh, and they want an election, so their coherent approach* can be implemented.

*not coherent at all.

Utterly useless twunts,
