Steven Caulker will be playing at the African Nations Cup for Sierra Leone

My defining memory of him is the run of games for Liverpool where they kept bringing him on up-front.

Absolutely bizarre.

Juan Mata

Saw he was on the bench for them yesterday. Be interested to see how often he's come on as sub in league games this season.

I get the need to have experienced player or two around the club but Man. United do seem to have obsession with constantly handing out new deals to old players who are well past their best, reminds me of the time when Hutton and Gabby both got new 4 year deals. Hutton at least worked hard for his.

Not a well known one but Lewis Baker signed for Stoke at the weekend from Chelsea. He's 26 and of course had about 8 different loan spells in his time there. Stoke is his first permanent move.

Played vs us in the next gen final,

A friend of mine worded this as “you do realise we are watching the grandchildren of the footballers we used to support in the 90s?”  Eurgh.
