Excusing his consistently unacceptable performances due to clearing a ball off the line in one game (a clearance which had he not made would have been seen as a gigantic mistake) is both baffling and hilarious. He can mess up and concede a moronic goal, but we can still score two without him being involved in the build up. That's still three points, but he has been rubbish. Or he can make loads of mistakes with the other defenders making up for them, or the opposing strikers fluffing their chances. Richardson has been beyond poor. The only thing I'm not sure about is weather he is worse at defending or at attacking.What also infuriated me was that with 30 seconds to go, with space ahead of him, he rolled it back to Guzan.
