Its not like hes vardy which is just on the huge positive side of variance for half a season and producing unsustainable numbers where everybody in the football world knows hes going to regress back to mediocre (and probably the same about michu). People in the footballing world were pretty impressed with mahrez last season (truth be told, i didnt have a clue who he was and its easy to say "i rated him last year" when hes playing like he is now) and they're even more impressed with him this season. I seriously dont see him getting sold for less than 20m even if he does regress a bit. so 40m now (random figure) with less chance of CL equity is probably worse than 20m in summer + greater CL equity and the added money through CL/coverage and ability to sign better players to establish yourself as top 6 side in future. The club is in 0 debt and i think the owners have quite a bit of money. Michu's problems come from an ankle injury, not a regression to mediocrity. Popular Post GeordieVillan
Its unlikely, but I personally would love Leicester to win the league or qualify for the Champions League at least. Whether they could build on it, I'm not sure, I suspect it would be a Blackburn Rovers style story. It gives hope to every other team in the League if a club like Leicester can do this and sustain it for the duration of a season, although past experience shows that eventually teams fade away and the big boys rise to the top. I don't have any affinity with Leicester or any hatred for them, they have always been a "nothing" club to me. But you can't help but admire how efficient, hard working and exciting they are. I've seen a few comments about their fans, but to be honest, they have had years in the Championship and bounced back and quite honestly I don't care if a few of their fans are idiots, alot of our fans are idiots! Their best players are Vardy and Mahrez - 2 guys plucked from obscurity and now setting the league alight. Compare this to e.g. Man Utd and all the money they have spent as still they are very boring to watch, and its amazing really. At moment, they are the first result I look for when I finish watching our game. It will hurt if/when we are relegated, and you see other teams which are no stronger than us financially doing so well, but thats life, and if anything it should give us something to aspire to.

Barry is exceptionally slow now and Leicester have bags of pace in the side. Hard game to pick tomorrow. Edited December 18, 2015 by PaulC

a m ole
Gareth Barry has actually run further than any other player in the league this season, apparently. I know that doesn't necessarily mean that he isn't slow but he still certainly gets about the pitch.

Hope they go home disappointed with no points Could happen actually. For the first time this season they're missing more than one first choice player. Huth suspended so chance for Lukaku to exploit this as don't actually know who Leicester's back up CB is, Upson still there? They've also lost Drinkwater for the xmas period who's a vital cog in the engine room. Everton to win...

I'd say Everton have better quality over the pitch....Stones, Baines, Coleman, James McCarthy, Barkley, Lukaku are arguably better than what Leicester have in those areas but Leicester are unbelievable as a team and of course have Mahrez and Vardy to win the game for them. Should be a fun game to watch and really should be on the box instead of us or one of the Sunday games.
PaulC
Kante would get into the Everton team. Probably the best midfield player this season.

VillaChris
This lot are insane. You get the feeling even if they played Vardy and Mahrez against 11 players they'd still get a result.
Arj Guy
They are definitely top 4 contenders now. Surely they wont win the league. I just can't see it
PaulC
Vardy limped off a few minutes from the end so that might be a concern for them.
