chappy Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 A lot of my mates are Sheffield United fans so this has a bit of extra bite for me. From what I hear they are pretty poor at the moment. I would play -------------Steer------------- Lowton Clark Baker Luna -------Sylla------Delph------ Albrighton-------------Tonev -------Andi---Benteke------- Game time for Helenius and Gardner too ideally. Both Weimann and CB to play the first 60 or so minutes and hopefully get a goal each.
Nigel Posted January 1, 2014 VT Supporter Posted January 1, 2014 Ill be disappointed not to see Gardner start! 2
Isa Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I hope we play many of the fringe players for this. We should be able to win even with them in. Steer Lowton Donacien Baker Luna Gardner Sylla Graham Helenius Tonev Benteke I'd keep with Benteke as he could do with a goal or two to help build up his momentum and this is as good a chance as any for him to get it.
Avfc96 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Steer Lowton Donacien Herd Baker Gardner Sylla Helenius Tonev Weimann Benteke
NoelVilla Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 4 - 1 to Villa. Helenius hat-trick and an atomic Strike from my second favourite bulgarian 1
The_Lions_Roar Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I wouldn't play benteke, 2 games in 4 days is too much after an injury. Have him on the bench just in case. Could be a good game to get some confidence at home going into the arsenal game.
Nigel Posted January 1, 2014 VT Supporter Posted January 1, 2014 Id like to see Weimann play too. Theres a man who needs some confidence!
The Fun Factory Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I wouldn't be suprised if Benteke plays. He needs goals- go get em. Steer will start but I don't think Lambo will make sweeping changes, we need a home win badly, and we don't need another knock out by a lower league Yorkshire side.
Electric Avenue Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Think this will be tough. Narrow 2-1 win.
sir_gary_cahill Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Jordan graham is out on loan at Ipswich, I'd love to see janoi donacien play
PaulC Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I think we should probably rest a few players after this busy period. 1
vandaq Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Maybe we will see more of robinson and probably janoi. Helenius deserves a game, he has been an unused sub a lot.
DamsonwoodVillan Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 SteerLowton Clark Baker LunaSylla Gardner El-Ahmadi Albrighton Kozak Tonev Honestly not too bothered. I know that's bad because I like the cup but I don't think we can win it and I'd rather get over the disappointment earlier and focus on leagye points.
Isa Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Jordan graham is out on loan at Ipswich, I'd love to see janoi donacien play His loan just expired I thought?
abdomlahor Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 If Helenius doesn't start I'll be disappointed, really wanna see him do well.
AvfcTheObsession Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Guzan Lowton Clark Baker Luna Bacuna KEA Gardner Albrighton Helenius Weimann Give a couple of fringe players a chance. Gabby, Benteke and Delph on bench incase required.
sir_gary_cahill Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Jordan graham is out on loan at Ipswich, I'd love to see janoi donacien play His loan just expired I thought? Apologies, it has, he's back now
Electric Avenue Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Would love a cup run this year in the fa cup.
Kwan Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Don't think PL will take it too seriously. Lot of youth players hopefully
