Seat68
Not going to lie. I will be telling friends about this for years. I answered part of a football question right.
Mark Albrighton Posted September 3, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted September 3, 2023 I cheated and looked it up. No massive surprises on the three other English winners. Although I was surprised to see that Luis Suarez won it all the way back in 1960. Didn’t realise he was that old. Ok, not that Luis Suarez
ferguson1
Keegan definitely won the Ballon d’or whilst playing for Hamburg (twice). As already said, Micheal Owen (once) but not sure of the other/others? Must be from the 50s or 60s perhaps? Was it even around then? Can’t be 80s, 90s or after or I would remember who they were? Greaves? Moore? Charlton? Good question though. Edited September 3, 2023 by ferguson1
Sid4ever
Stanley Matthews, I think won the first one Edited September 3, 2023 by Sid4ever Added time
TheAuthority Posted September 3, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted September 3, 2023 So I think we have it between everyone (although @ferguson1 had a few stabs in one go Stanley Matthews, Bobby Charlton, Kevin Keegan & Michael Owen. Apologies to @Follyfoot I didn’t realize Keegan had won it twice.

One of the ones left is pretty obvious. One is slightly debateable. The other two I haven't heard of (maybe there are others but those are the ones I'm aware of) Edited September 4, 2023 by Stevo985
