According to Le Parisien they've offered M'bappé a 2 year contract worth €50m a season along with a €100m signing bonus.

 One for the games gone thread too I guess. Jeepers that's a lot of money.

He would be insane to turn that down. Crazy money.

Would he though? He’s probably already a multi millionaire. He pick up a huge packet from Madrid, and going there will have more chance of winning Ballon D’or as everyone criticises the French league and the competition he has to face.

He's also been around for a while already, he's spent 5 years in Paris, his next contract at a guess would be 4 or 5 years again and they won't sell him

Like you say he's going to be filthy rich regardless, if he wants to play in la liga and then the PL or Germany or Italy or back to monaco or whatever then its a good time to move, I think he's a year younger than Ronaldo when he went there, could fancy a similar career, hard to know if footballers get bored staying in one place when there's so much available to them

The ballon dor is a joke at this stage. It has lost any prestige it once had.

Great bunch of lads.

Al Khelaifi: "I'm going to kill you!"

The president of PSG breaks into the referee's locker room and threatens a Madrid employee

Nasser Al Khelaifi , went down to the locker room area looking for the referee, as Mónica Marchante told Movistar and Real Madrid sources confirm.. According to the club's account, Al Khelaifi burst into the referee's locker room screaming, while a Madrid employee recorded the scene with a mobile phone. When the leader found out, he tried to attack him shouting “I'm going to kill you!”, according to these same sources. His security personnel ended up taking him to the PSG locker room while Leonardo, the sports director, shouted for the images to be deleted. In the brawl, the employee's cell phone had gone flying.

Chairman of Qatar Sports Investments who own PSG , chairman of BeinSports, Member of the World Cup organising committee, the head of the ECA (formerly the G14) and possibly the most powerful man in European football.

Amongst others things there are rumours that he:

  • Ripped a chain off from around the refs neck
  • Damaged equipment in the refs room
  • Blocked off the refs room doors so they couldn't get out
  • Hit Lionel Messi a couple of times and pushed other players
  • Threatened to kill a Madrid employee
  • Had to be restrained by his own bodyguards
  • Called Madrid President Perez a fat old man
  • Smashed some lockers
  • Told Donnamurra to f*** off back to Italy and eat pasta
  • Said he'd buy Madrid and run it into the ground

It seems like quite the meltdown.

Sounds like a fit and proper owner.

and as a side it is **** brilliant that PSG gave this season such a huge push, maybe wanting to stroll in to their world cup with PSG as the CL winners and now instead they'll have the embarrassment of him being kicked out of everything, i hope he's banished from the tournament

It’ll be interesting to see if there’s any reaction from players like Messi and Donnamurra. They don’t need the hassle. If he’s abused or assaulted them then they could just quit or strike.

Donnarumma agent for a start wont want to make a scene and will advise him otherwise as PSG is the only realistic place for Pogba to go. He is also close to the board

As for Messi you can tell from his performances he doesn't need the hassle 😜

I thought Real Madrid were the perennial linked team to Pogba?
