  1. A couple of my mates did a tour of the Emirates when they were in London approx. seven years ago. Apparently Wenger had the opposition dressing room designed so that the manager couldn't see the whole squad at any particular time.
  2. We lost to Brandon Allen, I fully expect us to lose to "Duck" Hodges.
  3. Summary from Tuesday night - Is that Scott Hogan's music?! Bree (Luton) Home to Charlton (2-1) - Played 90 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.38. Doyle-Hayes (Cheltenham) Away at Grimsby (0-0) - Played 90 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.64. Hogan (Stoke) Away at Cardiff (1-0) - Came on after 81 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.12. Touch Count - 4.
  4. Being a Villa fan growing up, any chance we've gotten in Bowen's ear about coming here on a free at the end of the season?
  5. To be a bit contrarian, we really struggle to break down teams when they put men behind the ball and until those two set pieces we hadn't really created much of note. It wasn't until they had to start chasing the game and space opened up, that we started to look better going forward and ironically didn't add to the score. If Bruce's plan was to come and get a point, on another night he might have got it. From a spectacle point of view though, thank **** we don't have to watch that shit week in, week out any more
  6. 28 goals in 19 games for Bayern. Insane.
  7. Your emotions are probably still pretty raw and I think you'll get more comfortable with returning over the next week or two, but if I can add my two cents...Don't let one dick ruin your experience of going to Villa Park and watching the Villa if it makes you happy otherwise.
  8. Gotham is a bit of a roller coaster. First season is a bit meh but it definitely steps it up a level or two in the next couple of seasons. I'm a pretty big Batman fan, but I have no enthusiasm to watch Pennyworth.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong but only player who played 180 minutes over the international break to feature tonight? Think he could use a break.
  10. Currently leading our scoring this season with 5 goals. In tight games, his left peg from set pieces is certainly a nice weapon to have.
  11. Summary from the weekend - Andre & Scott's Excellent Adventure Bree (Luton) Home to Leeds (1-2) - Played 90 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.56. Doyle-Hayes (Cheltenham) Home to Colchester (1-1) - Played 90 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.53. Green (Preston) Away at Derby (1-0) - Not in the squad. Hepburn-Murphy (Tranmere) Away at Fleetwood (2-1) - Replaced after 85 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.11. Hogan (Stoke) Home to Wigan (2-1) - Not in the squad. O'Hare (Coventry) Away at Sunderland (1-1) - Came on after 74 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 5.74. Sarkic (Livingston) Away at Celtic (4-0) - Played 90 minutes.
  12. Hertha having a horror season, can see them falling through the trapdoor
  13. Ended 3-3. Still points dropped for BVB.
  14. Dortmund down 3-0 at the half against bottom of the league Paderborn at home!
  15. Somewhat Regular Premier League Tidbits We've played Newcastle 44 times in the Premier League for a record of 8 wins, 14 draws & 22 defeats, scoring 0.886 GPG and conceding 1.455 GPG with an average of 0.864 points per game. Last time we defeated them at Villa Park was back in 2010/11 when we won 1-0 thanks to a James Collins header. A game so unremarkable I looked for 5 minutes and couldn't find YouTube highlights. This capped off a streak of 4 straight Premier League victories against them at Villa Park (1-0, 1-0, 4-1, 2-0). However, apart from this little streak our record against them is **** atrocious.
  16. Carroll, Almiron, Clark and/or Joelinton...you decide!
  17. Summary from the Wednesday night - RHM joins JDH in Rnd 2 Hepburn-Murphy (Tranmere) Away at Wycombe [FA Cup Replay] (1-2 AET) - Came on after 73 minutes. Assist. If I find footage I'll post it here.
  18. Was scrolling through the Athletic articles from the start of the season and there was one about Gary Cahill after we decided not to sign him and I found the quote surprising. Link I thought Grealish would be on 6 figures, maybe we are the 3rd lowest in the Prem.
  19. Their home kit last season was pretty classy IMO
  20. Summary from the Tuesday night - JDH progresses Doyle-Hayes (Cheltenham) Away at Swindon [FA Cup Replay] (0-1) - Played 90 minutes. Booked.
  21. This is why he bought him, he was playing the long game...
  22. Funnily enough, in the Premier League era, only one Tottenham manager has a higher Win % & Points Per Game than Poch...Tim Sherwood*. *Only 22 games managed.
