  1. Aaron Ramsey has been identified by the Guardian as our best talent in the Academy. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2019/oct/09/next-generation-2019-20-of-the-best-talents-at-premier-league-clubs Notably the last two previously identified were Easah Suliman (2014) & James Finnerty (2015), the latter of which has since returned home to Bohemian in Ireland after being released by the club in 2018 and an unsuccessful stint at Rochdale. Of course nobody was identified in '16, '17 & '18 because we weren't in the Premier League.
  2. I think this has been their policy for over a decade! I ordered the 2008/09 away shirt and it had sold out in my size so they sent me the 2008/09 home kit with long sleeves!
  3. Really impressed with this kit Nepal wore against Australia last night
  4. Summary from Tuesday night - EFL Trophy action!!!! Doyle-Hayes (Cheltenham) Home to West Ham Academy (4-3) - Unused substitute. Hepburn-Murphy (Tranmere) Home to Aston Villa Academy (2-1) - Not in the squad. O'Hare (Coventry) Away at Forest Green (0p-0) - Came on after 79 minutes. Scored his penalty in the penalty shootout, but lost 8-7.
  5. Bruce deserves credit for stabilising the club when he took over in 16/17 and pushing for promotion in 17/18. But how he prepared us for the 18/19 season with in regards to leaving us so short at the back and possibly shaving years off James Chester playing career due to his mismanagement of the squad deserves harsh criticism.
  6. I don't sorry, but in relation to that, the ice hockey game Blades of Steel on the NES is an absolute classic.
  7. Early doors but with just over 20% of the season completed, looking like a cracking season in the Bundesliga...
  8. I don’t think he saved a penalty. I think sir gary got his wires crossed. I might be wrong but I didn’t see it in the highlight reel. He hasn’t been playing though. This was his first league start of the season. Hopefully the performance was enough to keep him in the role.
  9. It’s a bit tongue in cheek, but Hogan got/gets called out on here for his involvement or lack thereof. So I put it up to demonstrate if he’s getting more involved at Stoke. Unfortunately not, it seems he gets about 1 touch per 5 minutes
  10. How dare you question my calculations! Going by my "dodgy spreadsheet", he's one of three managers to have a goal difference of minus 100 or worse. The other two being Mick McCarthy & Paul Jewell who are -114 & -100 respectively. The difference being they've both managed only 138 games. The worse managers don't tend to manage enough games to get a worse goal difference. A better comparison might have been Goals For PG and Goals Against PG. For instance here's how he compares against just those other two: Bruce - 1.018 GFPG & 1.320 GAPG McCarthy - 0.920 GFPG & 1.746 GAPG Jewell - 0.978 GFPG & 1.703 GAPG
  11. Couldn't be bothered retyping this sorry:

Sarkic (Livingston)Home to Celtic (2-0) - Played 90 minutes. Assist.
  13. Think that was his 100th start for us on the weekend in all comps and he notched his 25th goal for us too. How nice it is to have some goal scoring midfielders at the club.
  14. Hopefully he doesn't make us regret our decision next game.
  15. I'm sure one of our Swedish Villans can correct me if I wrong, but I believe Olof has started pretty well with 2 wins and 2 defeats in his first 4 games. The two defeats coming against the top two sides in the table.
  16. I don't know why but I just having a feeling we'll nick this one. 2-1. Trezeguet to score and a late Grealish winner.
  17. Summary from Wednesday night - The one Championship loanee that plays Bree (Luton) Home to Millwall (1-1) - Played 90 minutes. WhoScored.com rating of 6.95.
  18. Summary from the Tuesday night - Not going well Green (Preston) Away at Middlesbrough (1-1) - Not in the squad. Hogan (Stoke) Home to Huddersfield (0-1) - Not in the squad.
  19. Just out of interest thought I'd look up their two line-ups from last season where they defeated us both times 2-1 to see what players might be missing: At Carrow Road: Krul, Aarons, Zimmermann, Klose, Lewis, Trybull, Leitner, Buendia (Thompson/Godfrey), Stiepermann (Vrancic), Cantwell, Rhodes. At Villa Park: Krul, Aarons, Zimmermann, Godfrey, Lewis, McLean (Tettey), Vrancic, Buendia , Stiepermann (Leitner), Hernandez (Hanley), Pukki. Ones in bold are either injured or are doubts due to injury and the ones underlined aren't in the squad. They may have to play their 3rd choice keeper on the weekend too! For kicks here's a look at our line ups also... At Carrow Road: Nyland, Hutton, Tuanzebe, Chester, Taylor, Elmohamady, Hourihane (Kodjia), Whelan, Adomah (El Ghazi), Grealish, Abraham (Hogan). At Villa Park: Steer, Hutton, Tuanzebe, Hause, Taylor, Whelan, Adomah, Lansbury (Bjarnason), Hourihane, Green, Kodjia (Davis).
  20. In addition to John's post, in the Premier League our record against Norwich is 7W 5D 4L (1.63 PPG), averaging 1.375 GPG and conceding 1 per game. At Carrow Road our record is 3W 2D 3L (1.375 PPG) with an average of 0.75 GPG and conceding 1 per game.
