    I'd hate him here, great footballer but most annoying looking head in football. My sense is that he is not a good character either, based mostly on his annoying head.

    Great to see, has been a worrying spell in his career but one good season in the Championship and he will be ready to be a quality player for us for many years.

    Not a loan but good to see Tyreik Wright making a championship appearance too as it shows we can help develop players enough to make good careers for themselves even if they don't make the cut at Villa.

    As a Kildare man we are waiting 95 years and counting for our last one. Tyrone last won it in 2021. It does add something when counties make their breakthroughs though, the 90s and early 00's were brilliant with multiple all Ireland winners.

    I could not find a designated GAA thread here but just a heads up that the All Ireland football final tomorrow between Dublin and Kerry will be on BBC2 across the UK at 15:30. I see Dion Dublin is doing promo stuff for it strangely enough. Should be an interesting enough final.

    I like to see players staying on playing at lower levels, seems like it doesn't happen as often as it did back in the day probably as a result of the higher wages at higher levels these days. McGeady never fulfilled his potential though, should have gone to somewhere he could develop more in his early career, Russia wasn't the right move for his peak years.

    Had we stayed with Kappa and secured an inoffensive sponsor I'm sure we could have gotten some classic kits. A claret and blue version of that would be acceptable as a once off.

    Surprised there hasn't been any move for him yet, you'd expect Brentford or West Ham to be the main suitors for his set piece deliveries. Delighted we never got him in to replace Douglas Luiz, that would have been rather stupid in hindsight.

    Bergkamp flopped at Inter, the only thing with him and Henry though was that Serie A was the stronger league at that time.
