  1. Feels a bit wasted...but we have to remember it's only our third year back and we can count this as the 'stabilisation period' before we kick on. Bloody hope so anyway.
  2. Bit of England media I stumbled across. Ollie Vs Grealish. Receive the ball in the D, one touch to control, one touch to pass into a target goal. Watch Ollie's first set of attempts. He's a good player for us, but this sums up his issues pretty well.
  3. Very, very good at getting tight to a player recieving the ball and disrupting them. Better players will turn him because of it but for 80% of who we play against it's really effective. His passing is also more progressive than Konsa.
  4. Of course we would. But we're not and won't be...because City and the rules stop anyone getting close to doing that in the future. As a Villa fan, who's team is not winning three trophies a year due to years of financial doping, it is boring.
  5. Rule number 1 of statue creation - Make it look like the **** person it's meant to be!

    The NSWE Board

They are not here to **** around.
  7. Absolute snooze. Two £60m players in every position. Buy who they want each transfer window. Whinge about not having a big squad. Play good, but suffocating, football. Clearly aided by referee decisions. Robotic team with no sense of weakness allowing for excitement/chance of upset. Boring. Don't care.
  8. Didn't Mings do similar to Saka? Got a yellow.
  9. A big bag of dog's dicks would have refereed better than John Moss tonight. Fabinho allowed to foul whenever we broke on the first 10 mins. Ings thrown to the floor. Coutinho tripped by Trent as we broke. Watkins pulled down by Virgil. Al the little niggly stuff that should just be given, but swings the play in Liverpool's favour because it stops us relieving pressure. Its bullshit. Blatantly obvious bullshit
  10. He kicks like he's using a lob wedge. He needs to get the 5 iron out on give it some low zip.
  11. Shame. I think he showed something. Writing on the wall when Young and the youth get the minutes over him.
  12. His back heels from throw ins are absolutely sexual. Three or four times he did this through the eye of a needle to break through Liverpool's swarm of players. Class. A little light weight and sometimes holds the ball for too long...but with some upgraded players around him, he'll be able to pop it off quicker and stop that happening.
  13. Pretty sure this was more from Konsa not showing enough bravery with his passing, going back to Martinez and allowing the options to close off. It didn't look great from Mings but I think the situation was caused by others.
  14. Absolutely class tonight. Both ends of the pitch. Targett played well last season but will never have a ceiling as high as the performance Digne put in today.

    Ezri Konsa

This is the big one for me. He appears calm and composed, but often stiffs the guy recieving the ball due to his timing of pass. The he'll have a whinge and do his flappy arm thing. He was great last year, but has struggled this year. I think he's probably gone from a "no worries" player to an "ought to be replaced" player over the last six months. A shame, as he was so good previously that he really should have been in the Euros squad. .
  16. His main strength is running in behind. It is not link up play. The last couple of matches he's flipped the ratio of how much he is doing each of these and it's more like what we saw last season. Keep it going Ollie!
  17. He emits a confidence on the ball that others don't have, even regulars in the first team. Looked like once he gets a regular run of games, he'll start flying.
  18. A really good "busy" performance with loads of quality involved. Emi's play is also emphasised because Ings makes such intelligent runs to pick out. They have a good understanding.
  19. I was dipping in an out of a stream but I thought he looked a little blasé in his work further forward, and looked a bit better when he works from deeper with everything in front of him.
  20. The Cresswell red is wiffy. I don't think there's a single image in the slow Mo where it shows he does anything to bring the striker down. But it's West Ham, so they can swivel.
  21. So City, tell me how it feels to have the ref show favouritism to the bigger club throughout the game... Frustrating, isn't it?
