  1. The one time you want City to win they are making a pigs ear of it.
  2. Notwithstanding his political views which are somewhat colourful, Galloway is a dreadful MP. I think the last time he was in the house he had one of the worst attendances on record. He clearly doesn't give two figs about his constituents, it is just one massive ego trip for him. Cynics would say join the club I suppose.
  3. Well at least they could try. None of the concourse areas have had any updates since they were built.
  4. That's a big if. What happens if we revert to the mean and become a mid table side again? Will all those fans keep on coming?
  5. Yes but this is the West Midlands, not West London. There is no way we could pay Chelsea prices.
  6. Pathetic. I honestly thought that with these owners it would be happening this time around. If they wait til 2029 that would mean an entirely new application, new consultation etc for exactly the same project. I am still very surprised they changed their minds so late into the project with no apparent alternative option. I mean they originally thought building a multi-use venue would be a good idea as well as an entirely new stand. And now they come from that to absolutely nothing instead. A couple of months on I am still saddened and baffled by this decision. It went through every stage from consultation, to application, to being a host for the euros, and the mayor pushing for Witton station to be redeveloped. If they think the North Stand is perfectly fine they should spend a match day in it to see what a 45 year old structure looks like.
  7. It's is all very mixed at Villa. On one hand on the pitch it's the best we have had in a generation. We building a new city academy and are investing in clubs all around the world to help produce some young talent. And yet everything else seems so piecemeal and on the cheap.
  8. You must be joking- there is no way our season ticket prices will be going down any time. With all of this work if capacity is lowered, that will result in more demand so they can put the prices up again. Heck talk of 45,000 is flimsy at best. No evidence at all on this.
  9. It is ridiculous that the club even wants to overhaul the club shop. It is not big enough nor fit for purpose. We were supposed to have a new one at first in the Villa Live venue, and then the new north stand. I fail to see how capacity can even be remotely increased following this seating bowl configuration. This will lead quite rightly to more disabled seating, and wrongly more corporate stuff. At this rate we will be going more towards 40,000 rather than 50,000. This looks like a perfunctory meeting which they are obliged to do, rather than anything constructive.
  10. This times ten. I think most supporters realise the direction of travel of the match day experience with cheese rooms imminent, but as you said taking away something free with your season ticket with basically no replacement plus the dreadful communication in the summer was a poor show by Villa.
  11. Easter eggs. The really small ones which you could practically breathe in used to be a quid each. Now they are a pound fifty in Tesco's. Nice little 50% price rise for a yearly product which people probably forget what the previous price point was.
  12. In the past there were a lot of rumours on AC Milan and doping with all of their aging superstars playing forever and not getting bad injuries.
  13. Meeting minutes on the new badge- Heck: We have top men working on it right now. Villa Talk: Who? Heck: Top… men.
  14. The Govester under Parliamentary investigation after failing to register football hospitality to a tory donor who ended up getting a PPE contract during covid. Please be another by-election.
  15. Possibly but prices are hardly going to go down are they? And take this expenditure in perspective given the premier league signed a £6.7 billion tv deal last year. Double the size of what Serie A gets. I know us match day fans are just window dressing, but it would be nice not to use 45 year old facilities for this. And if that was the case just say it rather than waffle about a 42,000 stadium is perfectly fine thank you very much.
  16. What about the alternative of a massive stadium redevelopment which has been approved twice by the council? And the further plans to get Villa Park over 52,000 in capacity? No?
  17. Under Lambert, it often felt like kicking off in front of a black hole, which such dense toxicity not even light could escape.
  18. Guys, it's over. He has been gone for over two years and isn't coming back. Move on.
  19. More than that. I would guess the majority of season ticket holders would be legible so more like 25,000. I missed AZ Alkmaar (shit support my Lord) so I wouldn't be on the list.
  20. So the arguably the fifth biggest football club in Scotland is worth less than 25 mil? Wow shows the lack of money up there. Easter Road is comfortably bigger than Bournemouth's potting shed.
  21. I doubt he gives two craps about what people think. He left at the best possible time for him in terms of a massive contract and career to the best side in the country and has won stuff. He is a careers professional no matter how much badge kissing he did for us. A better deal came up, and he left. Like any other footballer would have done.
  22. Have to say the club have charged sensible pricing in the Conference this year. This match should be box-office.
  23. I would be thinking of the 18th placed side.
