  1. No point rushing Ramsey or Moreno back so it will be interesting to see how any rotation pans out over the next 10 days as to whether they are back in full contention. No point resting the big names for the big games if we don't win the others. Not much bigger in the last few dacades than a game between the top two in the group to see who finishes top of the European group.
  2. Massive game, a win would be great especially with Man U playing Newcastle and Man City playing Spurs in the same gameweek. Would set up quite the week. Not a place with many happy memories though. A Rudy Gestede goal in 2015 the last time we've won there I believe.
  3. Made my first ever pumpkin pie, off to eat turkey with our American friend. Happy Thanksgiving to all our USVTers.
  4. I saw him in Newtown of all places last winter. Sounds like the same/similar show. He's great imo. Seen him a couple of times and both were really good nights out.
  5. It's pretty much everything but The Metal within earshot of MrsVM.
  6. in terms of getting elected and potentially stopping war or not stopping war then his advisers, lobbyists, security councils, secret services, people with higher security clearances than the president - take your pick. I think the idea of the elected man being all powerful in ways to reign in the industrial military complex is rather naive in this day and age. Especially when neither could be described as all about the peace in their respective terms in office. Whatever their electioneering said at the time.
  7. Biden will do what he's told. Just like Trump.
  8. Being on social media. In fact I might very well hate it.
  9. he's got to prove he'd pre-emptively press the genocide button or he'll have no chance
  10. I'll go with, watch the Americans round up all the men and boys and cart them off to prisons, outsource some of the torture to Jordan and transport the US torture victims around the world for them while teaming up with Israeli secret services to create computer viruses so the enemies technology doesn't work?
  11. I remember an old boy in Swansea actually getting done for driving too slowly but then IIRC he did drive around Swansea in 1st by all accounts and rarely hit doublefigures.
  12. To be fair to LankyBox, as lyricists go they're right up there with DeLaRocha and Dylan
  13. I still have a CD EP somewhere of a short lived local combo (Not mine but an ex bass players's side gig) lovingly called "inbred sub-human filth"
  14. Me too. It's absolute rubbish nonsense and it doesn't take itself very seriously or hang around too long to, it's paced really well and it's brilliant.
  15. Brilliant stuff yesterday. him and McGinn ran the show. That tackle.
