  1. Chambers, Dendonker and Olsen for me. We can do better in all 3 positions. Whether we can do it in this window is a good question but there's better players out there.
  2. I think we're totally wasted on this crowd @magnkarl.
  3. I seem to remember watching this, like a wildlife on one spin off. IIRC it was advertised on Blue Peter.
  4. I wouldn't have thought anyone would need to demonise Israel. Their own actions speak for themselves.
  5. Yeah, they never seem to show that on the telly much anymo..........Oh
  6. I particularly like how most of their dishes are seemingly made from combining two or more different packets or containers of processed foods together. But all joking aside I'll be shovelling it all down my gob in a few weeks with little complaint when we visit my American friend. Bonfire night first though. My favourite of all the nights.
  7. yep Carling IIRC. This is why I hate advertising
  8. No one has ever served me sweet potato pie with melted marsmallow topping and gravy with my turkey at Christmas to be fair. Don't let their mild mannered nature on VT let you forget that really they're all mental. And to think you lot all scoff at @blandy for his weird fishgravy monstrosity thing !
  9. We were mostly in the eye of the swirly thing by the look of it. the rain is here in da Wales now, worst of the wind is coming this afternoon and into tomorrow by me. but it's definitely getting up. Not any leaves left on the autumnal trees by the end of the day. Glad I'm not nailing tiles onto someone's roof though.
  10. Charity shops are great because when I inevitably smash one part of it the replacement is only a couple of quid.
  11. My own personal wonder list as said by me since forever goes Freddie in a category on his own, then the second tier of Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder and Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes or as I call him bendy Chris. This is based on nothing but reverance and wanting to be them or to be able to perform at their level, range, showmanship, gravellyness, emotion. You name it they've got something in my eyes that I'd like to tap into. That doesn't mean theyre better or worse than the likes of Aretha, Layne Staley, Billie Holiday, The Reverand Al Green, Skin, Zak DeLaRocha, Nina Simone, Serje Tankien, Julie London, Billy Idol, Yebba, Tom Jones, Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, Sam Moore (Sam&Dave) Axl, Bon Scott, Laura Marling, Eva Cassidy, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, there's probably more I've missed, that I very much respect and love listening to but from afar as an admirer. Not necessarily wanting to BE them at various times in my life. Like the other 4

    Tintin

They're the two I still have tucked away somewhere. We never owned a lot but me and my brother used to get them out of the library the covers are brilliant and I think, because of the way they showed the collection on the back, like the backing cards of star wars figures etc, It made you want to rad them all more. Rackhams treasure, 7 crystal balls and secret of the unicorn spring to mind as favourites. Definitely helped nipper me learn to read, making it enjoyable, something you'd choose to do and something accessible.
  13. No wonder he doesn't post here anymore
  14. If I'm honest, my first thought was of the modern parents from Viz
  15. I was thinking Liberal as in - tolerent of the behaviour of others? (so none of us lot then ) mooney will correct me I'm sure, we all know he's so liberal of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
  16. I think I'm enjoying the calm before the storm. I have the day off in anticipation of the 40-50mph winds today but the trees aren't moving at all. There's not even a hint of a breeze in the air.
