  2. Don't let Rhod Gilbert see this shop
  3. One of the all time great live performances for me such a playful drummer
  4. So I've been thinking on this pehaps more than I shoud have bothered, (it's not knowing about the reason for the shocked reaction really ) but it's been a rainy week nailing tiles on and I've had the time. Even had a chat with MrsVM about it. But It's obviously not about a law of averages nor is it a probability puzzle, we considered chaos theory, but in the end we went for dunno. So what is it, the doing something a million times incorrectly but inadvertantly doing it right one time?
  5. Leaving out Moby Dick seems kinda perverse really from my own list but they have so many great songs to pick from. I'm not sure I'd leave Toad off my top ten Cream songs for example but then it's a smaller body of work to pick from.
  6. Yeah, I'll play. When the Levee Breaks definitely my fave and then in no particular order... Black Dog Custard Pie Rock and Roll Immigrant Song Whole Lotta Love Dazed and Confused Kashmir Heartbreaker Four Sticks
  7. If you wait until sundown they'd probably glow in the dark
  8. Another example of why I dislike the use of group identities, I think it's criminals we don't like in our society, not the kidz of today. Kids are great.
  9. It's that age old political soundbite slogan isn't it, "Tough on crime, but not giving a flying **** about actually ever really considering or addressing the causes of crime"
  10. It'd be funny if it wasn't a really serious and worrying step in the wrong direction. Conceived of by psychopaths and sociopaths. Enabled by sychophants and fools.
  11. something something probability
  12. There was a great documentary, I think it was nominated for the oscars amongst other accolades, called 5 Broken Cameras that I've probably mentioned years ago in this thread. Well worth a watch.
  13. There's sadness in the name Ruge, Saint Tydfil the martyr. It was a church set up and built by the martyred (murdered) daughter of King Brychen Brecheiniog. Known for her compassion and healing skills.
  14. law of averages though innit, he was bound to spell a word right eventually, even if it was the wrong one
  15. not an oft wondered thing but tonight I am wondering if the flashy yellow lights on the openreach van are going to drain his battery. been going since before about 4.45 when I got home and still going when I got back from footie , still going now. I reckon it'll creep through the curtains in a bit and stobe my room all night.
  16. I have a fair few years in hotels/pubs/inns etc in my younger life, but i really connect with this post. twice I was outright offered a threesome (the good kind for my sexual preference) Both times I declined, once where I just wasn't really interested and once that I don't regret as such, because of staying faithful to the relationship I was in at the time, but 2 of the waitresses propositioned me and I often hope parrallel universe Marv had a fun night. Some of my colleagues though, I don't know why they were in relationships at all, all sorts of shennanigans, but then different stokes I suppose. The story I always think of was when I caught a barmaid verbally ripping into some customers, an undeniable warning offence and while my manager agreed with me, he just would not make it a formal warning and I was a bit pissed off he'd undemined me. Took a few months there for the penny to drop that he was knocking her off on the sly. It's a lot less fun when someones husband catches them fellating some guy in the car park though, but I wont dampen the saucy mood.
