  1. I don't think he was any where near as bad as some are making out. He was a defender who could defend quite adequately, not good going forward but what do you expect for £2m? Good luck to him, bit miffed that Porto are only loaning him though, surely they must have pots of cash.
  2. Glad he had a good game today, I had the impression that Tim didn't particularly rate him, and with his poor pre-season up until this game I thought he might be left in the cold.
  3. I've never been so excited about us signing a full back.
  4. Who knows how this three at the back will work out, but it should suit Bacuna playing as a wing back, and there would be more cover for his sometimes poor defensive positioning.
  5. He loves us...he loves us not...he loves us. Just waiting for Sherwood to say "sorry Fab, I've already spent the £8mill, you're off my son."
  6. I was very happy when he signed his new deal because I thought that he would go on to become a better player than he has been. I'm not sure that will ever happen now he is going to City, and of course I no longer care whether he reaches his potential or not. He has been good for us, sometimes very good, but he isn't Man City level. At least it is only 10 days into the transfer window/pre season, so plenty of time to prepare for life without him.
  7. He looks happy about it, her not so much.
  8. MOTM apparently, even though it was a 4-0 win for USA.
  9. He had a few good games and some fantastic moments, all the best to him.
  10. I live in Hull, word is that Huddlestone is due to have a medical at Villa. I have also had Hull fans thanking me for us taking him off their hands...
  11. Huddlestone never broke a sweat as his team battled against relegation. Talented but absolutely gutless.
  12. Hutton started the season well but didn't maintain it, second half of the season he was reverting to just being a clogger.
  13. I think this is an exciting signing. He is a superb athlete, good in the air, and hopefully with a run of games can find his footballing ability again. I always thought he would make a good midfield destroyer, but even as just a CB/RB he gives us options.
  14. Robertson is viewed as a defensive liability by Hull fans. yet the same fans were disappointed they released Paul McShane Yes they were - I take it you haven't seen much of Hull this season.
  15. Robertson is viewed as a defensive liability by Hull fans.
  16. didnt you also predict we would lose everygame since Sherwood took over and kept claiming relegation was a certainty when we were winning games Not quite that bad but I was certainly negative. I just don't see how we will attract players having finished 17th and being smashed in the final of a cup without even having a shot on target. Benteke wants out, even Cleverly has buggered off Being a premier league team, we are still a good stepping stone for players on the up.
  17. I quite agree. I said last season that if he specialised in the FB position he could become a top player, and I still believe that. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but I don't think he is defensively much worse than Hutton at this point.
  18. Poor today but picked up in the last 15 minutes. I agree that it was the whole midfield that was the problem.
  19. He seemed to lack his usual energy today, if he doesn't have that then there isn't too much else.
  20. Yes, the ball moved, but if someone takes a shot from 30 yards out that goes right in the centre of the goal I'm thinking the keeper could have done better.
  21. I don't think he had a bad game today, he saved us a few times and didn't get done for pace or outskilled to any great degree.
  22. never in my worst nightmares did I think we would fail to have a single shot at goal in the entire match.
  23. Which is why I am disappointed that Bacuna isn't playing, we have already cut his best supply line.
