  1. "I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you."
  2. A very disappointing result, but some positive signs. Sanchez was my motm, some nice link up between him and Gana, who was also impressive. Richards was very good today, played like a captain, he was very unlucky at both ends of the pitch. Giving Bacuna a free role in midfield seemed very odd, and given the amount of room that Hutton was being allowed, he should have been moved to RB since Hutton's delivery was poor. I would have liked to see Kozak come on, if a game where we are creating chances and have ample opportunity to get a cross in isn't ideal for him then I don't know what is. Although Gestede was pretty poor overall I think I would have sacrificed Westwood to get Kozak on in order to have a real presence in their box.
  3. I thought he made some good lay offs in the second half, but generally not impressed so far.
  4. My motm today, thought there was a push on him in the build up to their equaliser.
  5. I was quite willing to defend Gabby at half time, he wasted a couple of opportunities but at least he was getting in behind the defence and causing problems. It is performances like his second half that are the real problem, where he contributed virtually nothing. But then again, Traore probably won't look like anything special if he never gets the ball. Sherwood should have hooked him when Palace were getting on top.
  6. Ridiculous. He didn't ridicule him and what you saw there was just a snippet from a longer interview. Coming out in front of the media and calling one of your own players a waste of space would hardly be constructive either. Well im sick of players doing nothing right at all getting away with it why not say we made mistakes dont mention amavai hes done **** all else wrong first major mistake and lets go point it out in interview. Gabby needs a kick up the arse hes gone stale and ge should go and get a new club. Pathetic interview from tim why didnt he whilst criticising amavi he point the finger at his inept substitutions taore should have been on at half time as should have sinclair. He didn't criticise Amavi, he pointed out that he had made a mistake.
  7. I thought today was easily his weakest display for us, he got caught out quite a few times.
  8. He was poor today, but he certainly wasn't helped by being isolated from the rest of the team whenever he got the ball. There was a real lack of support for him down that flank.
  9. From being marginally the better team in the first half to being battered in the second. Poor performance from Sherwood more than anyone else. I don't see any reason to panic though.
  10. Gabby has provided a threat, ok he messed up twice, but he is giving them problems.
  11. If I can get a bit Ian Holloway for a minute, Kozak is like having a plain looking girlfriend who is good in bed. I can understand that people might want a girlfriend who is more fancy and attractive to show off to their mates, but if she doesn't like doing the nasty you're going to be left with blue balls. Or maybe it isn't like that. Apologies to women everywhere.
  12. Although he was poor last night, he impressed me with his tackling back and also won a few aerial duels. I thought he was marginally the best of our attackers, although that isn't saying much.
  13. His passing was good and ball control excellent, shame our forwards can't trap a ball like that.
  14. The formation doesn't work with that personnel. Might as well move Gabby to the right in place of Vertout and get Rudy on.
  15. That doesn't look like a particularly good Man U team. Hopeful.
  16. While he saves everything that comes at him, it seems a little churlish to criticise him overly for three bad kicks in a game.
  17. I thought he did well in the second half, first half the ball was nowhere near him, but had a good run when he did get it and bought us a free kick on the edge of the box.
  18. If we want to improve on Bacuna as a right back, he needs to be told that he is a right back and schooled as a right back, not a midfielder. He has great potential as RB, but some of his weaknesses could have been worked on in pre-season. I'm not convinced that actually happened as he was playing in midfield in pre-season, so how is that making him a better full back?
  19. He looked quality but didn't get on the ball enough. Expecting big things from him in the future though.
  20. When we played Bournemouth the other year they completely outplayed us for the first 45 mins, that didn't really happen at any point today even though we were fortunate to go in level. Good performances from several players, I think the only real disappointments were Ayew and Sinclair, although he did well defensively first half.
  21. Bacuna should have been converted to a full time right back, it is his most effective position. As he has been in midfield pre-season, it doesn't look like that is going to happen, and as a midfielder I don't think he is good enough. I think it will be a real waste if he is allowed to play a bit-part midfield role this season before being deemed surplus to requirements.
  22. No, Pires was chauffeur driven 250 miles every day. No helicopters for him, he was keeping it real.
  23. Can't Villa just relocate closer to London? Obviously it would cause some inconvenience but surely worth it to have Adebayor playing for us.
