I think Walcott will be their biggest threat (if picked), Aly would certainly be the best option for trying to contain him, I'm not bothered if he doesn't go further forward than the halfway line.

I feel really bad for Guzan, I think he has been treated appallingly. Yes, he hasn't been at his best this season, but the previous two seasons he was a massive factor in keeping us up. Now the manager seems to be saying that he would rather play a half fit 39 year old in goal than have to pick Guzan. I don't think Sherwood's stance on the goalkeeping position has been at all supportive, and if Given isn't fit enough for the final, Guzan will have to play having not started a game for a month.

Given wasn't directly to blame (although could perhaps have done better with a couple), but I would hope that Sherwood has seen that Guzan is the better keeper, and letting in six gives him an ideal opportunity to put Guzan back in the team without anyone losing too much face..

Better teams out there than us, unfortunately. I would be happy with either, depending on cost.

I think Baker would have handled Pelle better (it couldn't have been worse), but if Okore was carrying an injury why wasn't Baker either starting or brought on? I don't like the thought of Okore and Baker as a pairing, not until one of them becomes more of a leader/organiser.

Although he hasn't done anything terrible, he has shown that he isn't as good a keeper as Guzan.

Wasn't it Okore and Clark that got torn apart by Arsenal when we tried to play a high line?

I was surprised to see that he ran 7.1 miles in the West Ham game, second only to Cleverley who also ran 7.1, and ahead of Delph who only did 6.9, lazy fecker. As Clev and Delph are both noted for their engine, it again shows that Westwood has a lot of attributes that often go unnoticed.

Collins did play well, but the crossing wasn't very good either.

At just 5'11" the guy is obviously a dwarf, so will have short arms too I reckon.

I'd say 'very good' rather than 'world class' but yeah he does have ability in his locker. What, he made one good clearance and could/should have been sent off.

Played with a little bobble in his hair, Everton simply couldn't handle it.

I don't think he would be proliific even in the Championship, but given his age I think we might still get more for him than he is actually worth. Sell.

Well I didn't realise quite what a terrible keeper Guzan was until I came into this thread. This hasn't been his best season, but I would still prefer him to Given.

A typical N'zog performance, got on the ball well but made the wrong decision just about every time.

Benteke missed the corner coming across. I thought Sanchez was good today, not without errors but they certainly weren't any of the three worst errors by Villa players today.

We have been the better team for the last 20 minutes, keep it up and we can get something from this.

If that is the case, I would hope that Westwood has a few more games in which to change Sherwood's mind. I don't know how much we would get for him, but it is unlikely to be enough to afford much of an upgrade on the player that Westwood will hopefully become.

I wouldn't say Livermore is anything like Delph, he just runs around a lot and has very little footballing ability.

Sherwood can't really lose with this one. When Gil does get some game time, if he is rubbish then that is why he hasn't been playing, if he is good then the timing wasn't right before but now it is. The only way he can really lose is if he never plays him and then gets rid.

I didn't notice Henderson or Gerrard do anything in open play at all.
