  1. His attitude has been commendable given that we didn't take up the option to buy in January, but he offers very little other than graft.
  2. He got himself into a few defensive scrapes yesterday but managed to get himself out of them, part luck, part body strength. His passing was awful, but that just means he will play some great passes next time, if past inconsistency is anything to go by.

    Carles Gil

I'm concerned by how far he seems to have fallen down the pecking order. Zog was ok today, as was Grealish, but I think Gil is better than both.
  4. At least 3-4 awful clearance attempts tonight. You have to be able to do the bread and butter stuff or all of the other good work is wasted.
  5. I don't rate him as a defender, but he hasn't been a weak point in these latest games.
  6. PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. We only lost by one at Leicester instead of six, that was lucky.
  8. That's great unless we actually need to defend at some point in the game.
  9. Probably deserved a point but gifted the opposition a goal again. I thought the subs killed us, we lost our threat once Nzog and Weimann came on.
  10. I would love it if we get at least a point off them, love it.
  11. Hasn't he scored nearly 8% of our league goals?
  12. I'd say that even in the two games that he has been back, Clark has been the better of the two. And unfortunately that **** up did happen, so it kind of ruins a lot of the credit he would have otherwise got from yesterday's game. Clark played just as well, if not better, and also didn't give away an injury time penalty (therefore losing us the game). Centre backs play as a pair, so you have to consider the effect that one has on the other. Clark has played well alongside Vlaar, but he was often taking up a defensive position far too deep when playing alongside Okore. I would say that Vlaar improves Clark, and therefore the whole defence, so his contribution isn't just what you actually see him doing.
  13. He cost us badly yesterday, but seriously, get some perspective people.
  14. The only role I can see for him now is coming on as the lone striker when we are desperately defending a one goal lead.
  15. I still can't believe that we will get relegated, but I'm less optimistic than I was. Let's hope that Sherwood has learned from the Stoke game, with the right set up we should be capable of getting out of this.
  16. He was positive when he had the ball but wasn't in the game enough. Perhaps worthy of playing up with Benteke given how abysmal our other strikers are.
  17. I certainly don't think he was atrocious, yes he got caught in possession a few times, although not as much as Gil for example, but was probably our most involved player. I think he pulled his weight more than Delph in an outnumbered midfield.
  18. Well, that was like watching one of our toothless possession-based performances minus the possession. It was a very poor game that we probably didn't deserve to lose, but I am genuinely shocked at how badly the team played today and that Sherwood didn't change things up in the second half.
  19. We can surely improve on that performance.
  20. I like the starting 11 and the bench looks strong too - how the hell are we where we are! (don't answer that...)
  21. That's an exciting line up, glad to see Sanchez back.
  22. I think that is more a case of our forward players being so afraid that Sanchez would pass to them that they went and hid, but I take your point.
  23.     I don't think it is a question ironing out his faults as organising the team to better take advantage of what Sanchez offers. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet for me.
