  1. As soon as he is match fit he should walk into our starting line up.

Very impressive today apart from the corners.
  3. I think we will lose against Chelsea but pick up after that. I'm really not worried at the moment. Well, fairly not worried.
  4. Absolutely woeful passing today, but more touches than any of our other players and didn't try to hide even when things weren't going well, just kept on missing those passes right up until he went off. I like him a lot, just a bad day at the office.
  5. Lucky to still be in the game, and we can surely be better in the second half. Time for Lambert to use the bench well for once.
  6. Disappointed Gabby isn't playing, this is the sort of game he should be kept for.
  7. I thought Delph was supposed to be top earner on his new £55k pw contract, so I can't see us paying Sinclair anything like what he is on now.
  8. He took his goal well but I don't think his overall game was anything to write home about. An improvement on recent performances though.
  9. This is great news, really think Delph and Sanchez can form a top partnership.
  10. I remember during his McLeish days (when he was absolutely awful, despite many people trying to rewrite history on that) one game where he made an interception on the halfway line and sprinted forward with the ball down the wing. The opposition were caught on the hop because they had been moving forward, we had two men in the box, the only defender moved across to Hutton, all he had to do was put it in the box for a certain goal - he fell over trying to cross it and the ball trickled out for a goal kick. I am grateful for what he is currently providing!
  11. He didn't look like he was fully up to pace, but still did some good things that our other midfielders can't. Yes, he was at fault for the goal, but it was a quality strike from Lambert, we would not have punished a Liverpool mistake like that.

He will be the most brilliantest player ever at the Villa.
  13. It's a plan isn't it? Try to play football and get some footballers in to play it rather than frauds like Weimann and Gabby. That would seem to be reasonable expectation rather than desperation. Of course Gil might not be all that, but it is a plan rather than a desperate roll of the dice.
  14. QPR only get points at home - have you seen their remaining home fixtures? They are doomed.
  15. I still don't think we will go down, yesterday's performance must be some kind of line in the sand. We have some decent players compared to teams around us, and even Lambert must accept that things aren't working and something must change tactically. Hopefully we will get a couple of players in and we won't always perform so far below the standards that this group of players should be achieving.
  16. He is a solid defensive player who is being made to look bad by the role he is being asked to play. It doesn't help that when he gets given the ball high up the pitch he is often completely isolated.
  17. There is no defending a performance like that, or the fact that despite managing to look even worse at the start of the second half than we did in the first, Lambert made no changes until the 70th minute. They could easily have put 6 past us today, while their keeper didn't have a save to make. How is that possible against the worst team in the division? Clark saved us a few times, unlucky to be sent off.
  18. Need to change the formation, tactics and personnel for the second half.
  19. Without wanting to sound overconfident, this game is already won, the points are in the bag, let's move on to the next one.
  20. Regardless of whether Delph is actually good/very good/will be very good, he definitely offers something very different to our other midfielders, particularly pace and the ability to beat a man.
  21. We will put them in their place, confident of a win.
  22. If we are looking for a good cup run then it might involve a lot of penalty shoot outs. Glad to be in the hat.
  23. I don't rate either, and Evans is on £65k p/w.
  24. I certainly wan't trying to beat Lambert with that stick, it was aimed as a dig at the lack of funds from the owner.
  25. Sure thing, we must be the only premier league club in history that couldn't afford to sign Wes Hoolahan.
