Dr_Pangloss
Albrighton aside or midfield is shite, neither of them have any real technique, vision, pass and move or even the ability to pass the ball well. Not only is it not creating any chances, but it's putting a very weak defence under a shit load of pressure.
jon_c
Had to be offside didn't it? They really didn't show a replay from an angle to tell, but at first look it seemed completely offside.
smetrov
Plenty of grit and effort - but almost zero creativity. Not good enough - Only Kozak, Vlaar, and Tonez look to be in the same league as spurs.
Condimentalist
Once again we lack an attacking mid.
MatG87
Spurs midfield waltzing through our midfield and our only tactic looks like passing to steer and hoofing it to Kozak just to give it back to Spurs. .Someone should of tracked defoes run for the goal. The_Steve
Looked offside at first glance. Need a replay to be sure.
sonic_bouma
May as well get Weimann and Helenius on soon see if we can salvage something It's not surprising we aren't creating chances relying on Tonev and Albrighton

Condimentalist
I'd take Bacuna off for Weimann/Helenius and go 442. Don't look like scoring at all as things stand.

villarule123 Posted September 24, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted September 24, 2013 Aston Villa FC - Official HT - Villa 0-1 Tottenham: Jermain Defoe opens the scoring as he pounces after a chipped ball through from Lewis Houltby. It's been a very even contest overall. Here's to Villa hitting back after the break.
dudevillaisnice
Chiriches has looked suspect all game yet I don't think we have tried much against him, disappointing

GREAT_BEARD_OF_ZEUS
We're ok without the ball i.e. we chase men down, hound the ball, tackle well etc. But with it we're a mess. We appear panicky and lacking quality. We just don't have the same movement to support each other when we're in posession. Ever player seems one touch away from losing it. El Ahmadi is a perfect example. He's got all the energy and tenacity in the world, but once he wins it, either his touch lets him down or he's got no options.

Nabby
Gulf in class to be honest but then what does anyone expect look at how much they spent on their midfield It doesn't help we have our first choice front 3 all missing.
Demitri_C
Dreadful performance thus far. Defence is back to normal a complete mess
Isa
Lack of creativity in the final third evident again. May as well bring Helenius to play off Kozak.

Weimann maybe - he looked decent v Norwich. I really don't see why Helenius is so rated - he looks to have a lot to learn for me.
