You are never winning anything with players like dier ans skipp.

We go on about villa defence but how much money have spurs spent on that defence and it looks much worse than ours.

We paid 25m for bith cash and konsa.  They are spending almost double on porro alone

Fabio Paratici’s football ban extended worldwide by Fifa in blow to Spurs | Tottenham Hotspur | The Guardian

Spurs in a bit of bother 🤣

They might struggle to attract a decent manager, certainly before the end of the season anyway.  Could see them slip down the table.

Quote

Tottenham are “urgently seeking further clarification from Fifa” after the club’s managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, had his ban in Italy extended worldwide.

Paratici will have to step away from his job after Fifa said it had extended a ban imposed on him when his former club Juventus were found guilty of false accounting.

On Wednesday night Tottenham responded with a statement which read: “This committee deliberation has been taken with no advance notice to any of the parties involved. We are urgently seeking further clarification from Fifa as to the details of the extension and its variance from the [Italian FA] sanction.”

Juventus were docked 15 league points in January at the resolution of a long-running investigation. Paratici, who joined Spurs in 2021, was among a number of former and current Juventus executives to receive lengthy bans, after a hearing at the federal court of appeal.

His 30-month ban initially applied only to Italian football but Fifa said in a statement on Wednesday in response to a question from the Guardian relating to Paratici: “Fifa can confirm that following a request by the Italian FA (FIGC), the chairperson of Fifa disciplinary committee has decided to extend the sanctions imposed by FIGC on several football officials to have worldwide effect.”

They'd need 100m just to replace Kane with Son declining.

They tried that method a decade ago when they sold Bale for a world record fee and it took them two years to do anything.

Spurs are in a really bad place on transfers.

A+ Players will no go to them, they go to Real Madrid, Man City, Bayern to win or PSG for the cash.

A- Players they are in a pool with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Juve, Inter, Milan, Napoli etc. They lose out to all on prestige and arsenal / chelsea / Liverpool on finances.

B+ Players - they end up buying and overpaying from here (Richarlson, Porro, Romero, Royale etc). These players are always a massive risk, if they weren't a risk they'd go to Man City, Bayern etc and so on.

The only A+ player they have they got lucky with from their youth system.

Probably worth noting, that if we get to our "best of the rest" place in the table we will end up in this situation where we can't afford or attract A+players and potentially end up with expensive, overpaid "B+" players. hence the reason our youth recruitment is so pivotal.

Good points - especially about the academy - but I think describing Brazil's number 9 as a 'B+' player might be a bit harsh!

Soldado, Paulinho and Etienne Capoue were others signed that summer.

Soldado was a good signing for them in a twisted way. If he wasn't so bad, Harry Kane's career might have gone the way of Stephen Fletcher or Danny Graham, and Spurs might have been in the shit a few years ago without Kane carrying them.

Richarlison has been terrible for Spurs after being “ok” with 1 goal in every 3.5 games at Everton. Has he even scored for them in the PL yet? What did they pay for him, £60m? Eyebrows were raised at the transfer and it’s looking justified.

He’s had a bit of decent spell at International level but that’s no help to Spurs. Surrounded by the likes of Neymar, Jesus, Casemiro, Vinicius Jnr, Rodrygo etc it’s probably easier to look good.

He really is, says more about Brazil though. 13 was his highest scoring Premier League season and he has an impressive 0 this season

48 goals in 192 Premier League games is not impressive and he isnt really topping that up with more assists

How haven't they sold Davidson Sanchez yet? I've always thought of him as one of the worst CBs in the league and was like a bombscare when he came on at the back and caused endless mass panic.

How much have they spent on defenderS? They seriously have aigned so many **** flops. If they didnt have kane they would bs midtable
