Transfer Speculation (Summer 2013)

                 Guzan

Lowton  Vlaar  Dragovic  Cavanda

       Westwood Delph

                 Hughes

Weimann                  Agbonlahor

                 Benteke

Siegrist, Bennett, Baker, Sylla, Murphy, Finnbogason and a Winger would do me.

Edit: Just seen the link with Hughes to Barca, City, Arsenal and Chelsea.. If they get Hughes and Schurrle maybe we COULD try a cheeky attempt for Marin? That would make my summer, very under rated player at Chelsea.

Aaron Hunt has had a decent return this season stat-wise in a Werder Bremen team who can still be relegated:

R   Name                  Pos       Apps  Goals Assists Shots p/game Key Passes p/game Drb   F    Off   Rt

1   Kevin De Bruyne AM(CL)  31         7         9               2.5                2.5                        3.2  1.2  0.1   7.53

2   Aaron Hunt         AM(CL)  25(2)    11         3               2.9                2.1                       1.9   2.7  0.2   7.34

Maybe not as many assists as you'd like but with 2.1 key passes per game it's not as though he has been creating a lack of chances.

Would take Hunt in a heartbeat

Be interesting to see if Lambo can buy/sign experienced players for  a) low fees and B) on low wages.

Personally, I'd go for Lescott, if his wages were low enough.

Or that 7 feet tall geez at Fulham.............

Sid Lowe just tweeted that Malaga are going to be forced to sell a lot of players this summer. Palermo are likely to be relegated and players will want to leave. There are going to be a lot of bargains on the continent this summer.

FM players in particular, remember Ignacio Camacho? Widely liked coming out of Athletico Madrid as a young defensive midfielder. He's at Malaga. Still only 23 and I reckon he could be bought for around £6m now.

Lambert cashes in: Manager Paul can splash out on transfers after Villa owner Randy Lerner hands him funds

Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner is set to fly into Birmingham next week to hand boss Paul Lambert a summer transfer kitty.

Villa’s America-based chairman has been delighted with the club's recent resurgence under Lambert, winning five of their last eight games to haul themselves clear of the relegation zone.

Scot Lambert spent £23million last summer on Christian Benteke, Ashley Westwood, Matt Lowton, Ron Vlaar, Jordan Bowery, Karim El Ahmadi and Joe Bennett.

Now, Lambert will get fresh funds, with new contracts for Benteke, Brad Guzan and Andreas Weimann also a priority.

Lambert is busy scouting possible targets in Holland and Belgium following the success of Benteke’s arrival from Genk in the latter.

The club’s financial situation will be eased by the lucrative contracts of Richard Dunne and Stiliyan Petrov expiring, saving them over £100,000 a week.

Makes it sound like he's actually going to physically give him a briefcase full of notes. :)

I hope he stops off at a currency change place on the way or that'd just be a wasted journey.

I've been seeing us linked to Bakary Sako on some of the less reputable gossip sites. Even though it's pure speculation, it does make sense. The guy looked like single-handily carrying Wolves out of the relegation scrap before he tore his hamstring and they fell apart without him. Plus, he'll come on the cheap after their 2nd relegation. I'd prefer him to Sinclair, for sure.

Bakary Sako would be quite a good signing... for about 2-3m would be a bargain! I'm rather looking forward to this summer :)

Edit Sako looks to be a pretty nice set piece taker... Pretty big guy too!!!!!
