These will be out of date by the weekend but they are interesting right now:

Attack and defence stats for the first six games of the season:

Our defensive problems are well known, but I do like the fact that we are considered 'languidly clinical' in attack.   Stats for Germany, Spain, Italy and France are here

New record for a Penalty shoot-out was set in the match between Brockenhurst and Andover Town .. 29 required

mind you seeing some of the goalkeeping in a lot of those pens I think it was deliberate (video on link)

Update on the table for the calendar year.  I thought we would be lower.  We do have the second highest number of home defeats in the league in 2013 though (11)  behind Stevenage (13)  (sauce)

Any chance of an updated version of this?

Spurs have now won 7 yes SEVEN of their 10 away games in the league this season. They've only won 4/10 at WHL. Man. United are on their worst home run for years, again only won 4 at Old Trafford which is really poor but they've still won 6 away games. Think Newcastle another team that don't historically travel well have won as many games on the road as they have done at home (5)

Obviously we're noted for how much better our away form is compared to at home but when you see some of the teams in the top 7 also doing it, it's an interesting debate.

Has the lack of atmosphere at most home grounds finally meant away teams now find it easier to play away? Is it due to the makeup of squads, less creativity generally around and more pace and power?

I'd be interested to read people's thoughts on this as I can't remember a prem season where so many teams are better away from home than on their own turf.

That's the away table.   I'd like to see actual tables from other seasons though, just deciding that playing away is easier because Spurs have a poor home record this season isn't really offering much evidence to the theory.
