They're posted up outside of Targets and other stores to "protect" them from looting and are presumably the target of that dog whistle to start shooting the """THUGS"""when the looting starts.

The Minneapolis PD would seem to have some very serious issues - someone in the US needs to get hold of them before the city burns.

Those were State police under the control of a Republican governor who has Trump's ear and vice versa. Trump probably gave the order!

But the city police have had a bad rep for some time now. Killers.

Not my town, sorry not a well crafted post

Ah, in which case, go out and enjoy yourself :)

The National Guard turning up in Minnesota is bad news. I hope there’s not too many killed :(

He's officially listed as Democratic Farmers League (DFL), but being quoted everywhere this morn in the media as being a Dem. Is there something local that has DFL as really being big-aggra business or some such and hence more R like?

The mayor said some great things either this morn or last night, in terms of valuing people over property, but they completely mis-judged the mood in not deploying lots and lots of police etc., early yesterday afternoon. I'd be so pissed if I paid taxes and lived there (~170 properties seriously damaged). Straight up racist nut jobs in the police who then vanish and allow the whole place to be smashed up. Lots of top brass should be hung out to dry for this.

He looks super shady

Edit: Also, how good is the guy in the pink shirt holding a pizza “Hold my blunt!” 😂

There has been a denial from the police that he is a cop apparently.

Heavy asked police how they know that the umbrella man is not Officer Jacob Pederson, and they said that the officer had an alibi that checked out for that day and time. “We spoke with his supervisor, who was with him. We spoke to his colleagues, who were with him,” said Steve Linders, public information officer for the St. Paul Police Department.

Whether is is a cop or not it not clear but he’s clearly an agitator. He sprayed “Free shit for everyone zone” on the wall, smashed out the windows to the shop then slunk away without taking anything himself.

Cop charged with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter. What even is 3rd degree murder? Like, "we know you didn't do it, but they're saying you are so let's do a song and dance in court"?

Jeez this will only incite people more.

Unfortunately with the Minneapolis PD's reputation for corruption the idea that "he was with his supervisor" seems awfully convenient.

I wonder if his ex-wife will accidentally fall down some stairs in the next few days.

Basically just a manslaughter charge.

Minnesota

Minnesota law originally defined third-degree murder solely as depraved-heart murder ("without intent to effect the death of any person, caus[ing] the death of another by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life").[7][8] In 1987, an additional drug-related provision ("without intent to cause death, proximately caus[ing] the death of a human being by, directly or indirectly, unlawfully selling, giving away, bartering, delivering, exchanging, distributing, or administering a controlled substance classified in Schedule I or II") was added to the definition of third-degree murder.[7][9] Up until the early 2000s, prosecutions under that provision were rare, but they began to rise in the 2010s. Some reports linked this increase in prosecutions to the opioid epidemic in the United States.[10]

Minnesota law also defines the crime of third-degree murder of an unborn child, with the same elements of depraved mind and lack of intent to kill distinguishing it from first- or second-degree murder of an unborn child.[11][12] Both third-degree murder and third-degree murder of an unborn child are punishable by a maximum of 25 years' imprisonment.

The guy had extensive training, he knew exactly what he was doing, what the effects were and what the risks were.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—A furious Donald J. Trump has demanded that Facebook investigate why a status update posted by former President Barack Obama on Monday has received so many likes.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning, Trump said that the more than eight hundred and fifty thousand likes that Obama’s post had garnered as of Tuesday night were “phony,” and called the seeming popularity of the post a “rigged hoax.”

“There is absolutely no way that eight hundred and fifty thousand people liked Obama’s post,” he said. “I know a lot of people, and absolutely none of them like Obama.”

Thought we could do with a cheerful distraction for a second or two.....

Anyway, back to armageddon.
