But neither of them are as good as what England have produced before. 2002 we had hargreaves, butt, scholes, gerrard, lampard fighting for the midfield, now we have cleverly, Wilshere and jonjo shelvey. Lampard was not in the England scene then. Although he had had a few caps by then it was not until the Abramovich era that Lampard started becoming a contender for the England squad. Wilshere, Cazorla, Arteta and Ramsey put together some phenomenal short range touch and go moves, so good to watch. They fell apart when Wilshere went off and just clung onto the win.
