Jimzk5
Average lol I think wilshere is a good player, not world class and I don't think he will ever be world class , i said a few pages back that I don't think he is as good as gerrard. Lampard, scholes, hargreaves, the previous generation of England's centre midfield.
CI
Average for me would probably be the likes of Etherington, Morrisson (WBA), Nolan etc Top class PL are the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Carrick etc. Wilshire honestly is not in the top set, not even close. AVFCforever1991
Wilshere is better than Morrisson, Nolan and Etherington.
CI
Wilshere is better than Morrisson, Nolan and Etherington. On a par for me. When I say average PL standard, that's obviously a decent level so im not saying he's crap, far from it but he's average PL level.
kurtsimonw
But you said he would become average, which suggests in his prime. I'd say even right now he's better than those players already. There's very few CMs in the league that a manager would not swap for Wilshire.

Zatman
I think for me he needs to move to be ever considered world class. Arsenal are in team in decline and id worry about his ambition if he stayed there for 2 or 3 more seasons. I can see by 2016 Wilshire in a United shirt
CI
Morrisson and Nolan have both had better seasons than him so far, so too obviously have Lampard and Carrick .
AVFCforever1991
Morrisson and Nolan have both had better seasons than him so far, so too obviously have Lampard and Carrick . How old are Morrison, Nolan, Lampard and Carrick?
TrentVilla Posted February 18, 2013 Moderator Share Posted February 18, 2013 This thread is stupid and reading it will make you stupid. If you have spent too long in this thread I suspect you've already forgotten what I just said.
CI
James Morrisson 26, what another great season he's having. Will obviously have a chance to see Wilshire on Saturday, if he's any good he'll dominate the game I'd have thought
ChrisVillan
Another thread ruined by point scoring. Well done.
CI
Point scoring ? I thought it was a reasonable debate on how good Wilshire is or isn't.
Milfner
It became unreasonable when you said Jack Wilshere is on a par with Matthew Etherington. Idiocy and ignorance rolled into one.

AVFCforever1991
CI's was a laughable comment, and SGC's was also a laughable comment, when he compared Wilshere to Iniesta and Xavi. coda
I don't know how this has made 11 pages. Everyone (apart from two posters) seems to agree Wilshere is a good player with plenty of potential.
