Him acknowledging them and flipping them the finger is just jesting in my book, and I guess the fans smiled more than they got infuriated from it. These are footballers, some call them role-models, but don't for one second think he is going to affect a lot of people and be responsible for kids showing their fingers to people the week after. I lived in England for one year and attended a lot of games, I am pretty sure 99.99% of the average crowd already know how to flip a finger and say the F-word I understand why the FA have to fine him, but we all know it's pretty stupid.
