Ninjas in Pyjamas teams up with Leeds United

Swedish esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has partnered with Premier League football club Leeds United.

Exact terms of the agreement are yet to be disclosed. However, the partnership will concern FIFA esports and the annual ePremier League.

“This partnership with Leeds is an exciting milestone for Ninjas in Pyjamas,” said Hicham Chahine, Ninjas in Pyjamas CEO. “Our iconic clubs share similar histories of transformation and core values when fighting our way back to the top of our sports.

“We looked for a Premier club with an ownership that was ready to go deep into esports — with the ambition of making an impact, integrating efforts on sports performance, fan activation and commercialisation. We are very thrilled about this FIFA journey together. Keep your eyes open for more exciting announcements in the upcoming weeks.”

According to NiP, more details on the partnership will be released soon.

I hate this point being used to prove anything, irrelevant to the rest of the post what does it even mean? Would the bottom 14 all be getting relegated another year?

The Premier League is the most competitive it has ever been. The fact the cut off between Burnley etc and the rest is so big kind of says the opposite. Clubs that are standing still are sinking fast, everybody is dropping points to everybody because the gap is closer than it has ever been, and I don't think that gap is there because the top 6 have suddenly become shite. The different between Southampton, both our clubs, Brighton etc and your Chelseas have never been smaller.

Honestly, much rather have Leeds playing good football, than the utter tripe from yo-yo clubs in the bottom four. It's an incredibly open year, despite the continued awfulness of VAR and sub-par officiating.

Are people still confident we'll finish above them?

At the moment, yes.

I'd say 10th/11th for us and maybe 13th/14th for Leeds. I think Leeds would be thrilled with that and it would be a great year for them for their first year back.

Not an impressive performance.

Over 20 shots conceded.

We're a decent team playing a much better team away.

Sure people will come in and say we're shit though 😂

Chelsea should have scored 5 or 6

I thought it was actually just a very good Chelsea performance to be honest.  Leeds looked fine, just not good enough to beat a very good side.

I disagree. Chelsea are man for man on a different level to us. We struggled a lot to break their press and all our chances were half chances at best. Llorente is also nowhere near match fit and I think that hampered our ability to play out the back. He **** up occasionally but Koch is great at breaking into midfield and finding somebody further forward, as is we passed sideways and didn't have the ability to break them down.

Rodrigo again looked great when he came on and is still on the bench every week.💩

Did Kalvin Phillips make a forward pass during the 90 minutes?

He had an assist for the goal but didn't see it so don't know if it was forward pass.

Leeds can still be in good position by new year.

Have West Ham, Newcastle and Burnley as next three home games.
