maqroll
I own one suit and it's time to toss it in the bin. I'm looking to buy a modern looking suit for all occasions (weddings, funerals, business), but I don't want to spend much. What do you think of H&M? Any brands/stores you'd suggest? CI
M&S are good value for money If you can stretch a little more take a look at Jaeger suits on sale, great quality and will come in at about £175-200.
Gillz
I work at Next and have to say the suits there are really good for the value they are. I know im biased but well worth checking out.
PompeyVillan
I quite like Next suits. Modern and fashionable and make you stand out from the average 'I wear a suit because I have to' look.

HongKongVillan Posted September 13, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 13, 2012 The best i bought was from esprit, roughly 150quid altogether and i only really uses it for better occasion, wedding, interviews, proper meeting. But M&S is cheaper and easier to fit.
leemond2008
I've never ever worn a suit let alone bought one...hmm I have absolutely nothing to contribute to this thread
RunRickyRun
Yoox do some great suits at very good prices (check out the sale section). You can get them fitted properly at a tailors afterwards. Anything Italian usually does the job.
Jimzk5
I got my funeral suit from Asda, bout £40 but the suit I wear for smart dress from Burton for £110 in a sale and its well lush
The_Lions_Roar
I have 2 m & s suits which I wear to work and have worn to weddings. I could do with getting new ones and have looked at the next ones and they are probably what i'll go for. The 2 I bought from M & S cost £129 and are slim fit. They've lasted me 2 years so good value for money.
AVFC_Hitz
This thread shows the death of the tailor. I bought three suits, through buying the material myself and taking it to little Mehmet who knocked them up for me for 500tl (£200) If I was looking at suits in England I'd be looking at the Autograph range at Marks n Spendies. lapal_fan
I've been looking for suits for my wedding next year. Slaters in town is the place to go, you can buy a good suit to fit for £75 and you can get it altered at any point after you've bought it by 2 sizes. Can't go wrong really. choffer Posted September 13, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 13, 2012 A Suit That Fits Fantastic quality but easy to rack up a hefty bill. After 20 years of buying suits on the high street though, I'd say M&S is about as good as you'll get.

tonyh29
I had to buy a suit the other month when I did my client pitch recently I went to M&S and got quite a nice one for somewhere around £200 I think ... General consensus was it looked smart and good quality so much so that I abandoned my plan to leave the tags on it ad take it back after I'd done my pitch on the off chance that I may get to wear it again some day

villa_shere
at TK Maxx you can grab some great bargains, picked up a William Hunt (Saville Row suit maker) suit for under £200.
LondonLax
I bought a suit from Next. The cut is good but the hole where the security tag was put through the shoulder opened up and started fraying. Fortunately they replaced it even though the suit was more than 6 months old! If you are ever on holiday in south east Asia then head to Hue in Vietnam and have some suits made (I think the Top Gear guys did that in their Vietnam episode). Most of the tailors there work for the big fashion brands and will measure you up. The material is still pricy depending on what you go for but the labour is practically free. You can get a suit worth £5000 for less than £500.
