No one is going to buy him.

He's 31 years old, injured and has 1 year left on his contract. There is not a club on the planet who would agree to pay us money for him this summer.

He will sign a precontract agreement with a US team in January and move on a free next summer.

33 in a month, but yeah. He'll go to the MLS when his contract runs out with us

not sure he will go US unless he has decided to retire from international duty. Keane has been a shadow for Ireland since the move due to travelling with O'Dea in MLS as well i dont think Trappatoni could afford 3 players travelling long distances

Villa clearout continues as Dunne heads for Premier League rivals Stoke

Richard Dunne is set to leave Aston Villa for Barclays Premier League rivals Stoke City.

The transfer has been held up as the centre half recovers from groin surgery but is expected to be confirmed before the transfer window closes on August 31.

Villa are eager to trim the club’s wage bill and cash in on Dunne, who is almost 33 and in the final year of his contract.

Tony Pulis is a fan of Dunne, whose physique would not be out of place among a bruising backline the Stoke manager is keen to overhaul.

Pulis will listen to offers for Ryan Shawcross if his bid to gazump Queens Park Rangers for Michael Dawson is successful but a move for Dunne is not affected by that.

Since signing from Manchester City for £5million three years ago Dunne has made 111 appearances for Villa, scoring four goals, but missed almost a third of last season with a broken collarbone, although he recovered to play at Euro 2012.

Heil Football!

Can't see it without a significant signing inwards.

He has to go, but only if there is a replacement already waiting in the wings.

Otherwise this is another sign of Lerner penny pinching over strengthening. To even attempt to get through this season with a squad as small and short of quality as ours will only lead to epic failure.

Sell sell sell, just good sense to replace him now if we can as we'll get a fee + save around £2.5m in wages over the last 12 months of his contract. If he stays we give him that £2.5m and dont receive a fee next summer and still need to replace him.

£3m for Hutton and Dunne to Stoke? Actually for £5m they can take Hutton, Dunne and Warnock. lol.

Should not sell. Don't rate Clark anywhere near as highly as Dunne even if he has been turd for the best part of two years. Still an important, senior member of the squad imo. Contract up at the end of the year anyway so won't be saving a fortune on wages either.
